We had so many amazing submissions — it was almost impossible to pick our favorites! We narrowed it down to our top 25 as seen below in no particular order.   • Noralea + Ryan

    After experiencing heartbreak, Noralea never believed she would find “the one.” Ryan pursued her for a year and a half before she was able to let her guard down. Now, the two are engaged to be married, and happy to be spending the rest of their lives with their best friend! Candi Coffman Photography captured these beautiful images, enjoy!

    Brides of Oklahoma Looks of Love Contest featuring Oklahoma wedding photographer Chris Humphrey Photographer

    After four years of dating JP proposed marriage on New Years Eve. He took Ann to his family's ranch in Stroud where they made dinner with a Dutch oven and a grill without electricity. The ranch is very special to him and they both love the outdoors! After dinner by the fire, JP handed Ann her final “Christmas gift.” As she opened it, he took the small box from her, got down on one knee, and proposed. They will be married on July 24, 2010 at Bridle Creek Horse Ranch and Resort in Sperry. These photographs were taken by Chris Humphrey.

     

  • Caitlin + Tyler

    Brides of Oklahoma Looks of Love Contest

    Growing up Caitlin loved the television show “Rescue 911.” She just never dreamed someday a real fireman would sweep her off her feet! Tyler and Caitlin met while raising donations for Infant Crisis Center at the local fire station and her mother knew right away this was the man for her! These photographs by Kelly Beane Photography capture their story beautifully.

     

     

  • Allison + Austin

    After a failed attempt to set up Austin with one of her girlfriends, Allison realized he was meant for her! Allison and Austin will be married on September 25th, 2010, at the campgrounds where they first met. Enjoy these adorable themed photos by Candi Coffman Photography!

    Marin and Derek met after each had experienced less than normal pasts. Both have been through so much that they never thought about getting married or finding someone that would have the love, compassion, and determination that both of them needed.     Jordan  and Trey were introduced through mutual friends during their freshman year in college. They dated off and on for two years while they lived across the street from one another—Jordan was in the Kappa house and Trey in Sigma Phi Epsilon.  After countless date parties, they fell in love during the fall of their junior year. Today, Trey is in medical school and Jordan is working for an accounting firm in Oklahoma City. And although their life now isn’t as carefree as in college, they are so excited to be married this June. These images were captured by Shannon Ho Photography.

    Becca and Geoff met in medical school and it did not take long to realize that they had much more in common than their love for the field of medicine! During a romantic trip throughout Italy, it became very clear that the couple would be happy together forever. Just a few weeks after they returned, Geoff proposed and left a trail of letters detailing some of the best times of their relationship. They will be married this June.     During a spontaneous road trip from Stillwater to Washington D.C. for the presidential inauguration last year, Erin and Brian spent three straight days in a car talking and getting to know one another. Shortly thereafter, Erin moved to Lake Tahoe, California for the summer. Brian and Erin’s relationship blossomed over skype and one morning in late July, Erin woke up to a knock on her front door. Brian had surprised her and driven all the way from Tulsa to Tahoe! He took her to a secluded beach while the sun was setting, and there was a blanket with candles and Rose petals. After the picture perfect proposal the couple will be married this spring at the Dresser Mansion in Tulsa! Photographs were taken by Candi Coffman Photography.

     

     

     

  • Kaylyn + Deren

    Oklahoma wedding photographer - Stella Photography

    Deren and Kaylyn met in a psychology class at Oklahoma State University. The two became close friends and briefly dated. After some time passed the two met over Christmas break for lunch and realized that all of the feelings were still there! The timing was finally right and they fell head over heels for each other! That fall he proposed in Seattle and Kaylyn and Deren were married in Oklahoma City on December 5, 2009. These photographs were taken by Stella Photography.

     

     

  • Suzanne + Andrew

    Andrew and Suzanne met in college at the University of Arkansas. After building a friendship for two years, he asked her to watch a thunderstorm with him. They went to a park nearby and sat in the gazebo and watched the rain. It was at this moment Suzanne realized they were falling in love. A year later he proposed in that same gazebo, and they are getting married this spring. These photos by Chris Humphrey are adorable!

     

     

  • Sarah + Josh

    Sarah and Josh met while working at a physical therapy clinic in Norman during their senior year. They both thought they wanted to go to physical therapy school, little did they know that neither of them would. Sarah went onto law school and Josh to get his Masters in Adult and Higher Education. They became friends and started having lunch together, and six months later Josh asked her out on a date. Although they were on the wrong career path, they both believe it was just the “scenic route” to finding each other. The couple will be married on August 28, 2010.   • Rachel + Lance

    Rachel was living in a duplex when her new neighbor, Lance, moved in next door. The two shared a chain link fence and soon noticed that their dogs, having become fond of one another, were sharing toys through the fence! Lance was outside working on his boat one day and asked Rachel if she wanted to go out on it. A little caught off guard, Rachel agreed. After a great day out on the boat the two haven’t spent a day apart since. Being a true bedlam couple Lance decided to purpose at the bedlam game in Norman in 2009. He had a banner made that read, “Will a sooner marry a cowboy?” Rachel is happy to say that she is marrying the boy next door. These photographs were taken by Shirley Kay Consedine.

     

     

  • Monica + Tim

    Tim surprised Monica by recreating their first date on their two-year anniversary. He took her to the Cruise Room, a 1930s-style bar in the bottom of the glamorous Oxford Hotel in Colorado. Before leaving, Tim told Monica he wanted to show her a view from the top floor. When they arrived upstairs, there was a room filled with champagne, rose petals and in the corner…a surprise.     Steven was a cadet at the United States Military Academy at West Point and Miranda was working on her degree at the University of Oklahoma. Who would have thought a summer romance would bloom into a lifelong partnership? After two years of dating, several early morning flights to New York and many evenings waiting on the red-eye from New York to Oklahoma City, they were engaged!   • Leah + Michael

    After a less than perfect first date, Michael and Leah decided to see one another again. It wasn’t until they went on ski trip to Colorado when Leah really fell for him. Michael and Leah are getting married in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico on May 22, 2010. These photographs were taken by Melissa Claborn Photo.

     

  • Maria + Andrew

    Maria and Andrew met seven years ago in high school band. Through all the ups and downs their relationship has endured and grown over the years. “Andrew always believed and lifted me up,” says Maria. Check out the goldfish crackers! He asked Maria to Homecoming in high school with a jar of goldfish crackers that had a note inside saying, “Of all the fish in the sea, will you go to homecoming with me?”  This is also the note he used to ask her to marry him!!     After knowing each other for several years, Dustin and Katey decided to date. The blockbuster, “Bride Wars” prompted an unforgettable proposal, and Katey and Dustin will be wed in March 2010. These photographs were taken by Casey Linde Rayne Photography and Design.
     

     

     

  • Salem + Matt

    After realizing that she and Matt had so much in common and similar personalities, Salem and Matt started a long distance relationship between Stillwater and Tulsa. One of his good friends said, “I knew he was in love, when he was on the phone for four hours, talking to a girl.” Matt told Salem he loved her on a riverbank near Stillwater as they were watching the sunset. He proposed the same way, on a riverbank! These photographs were captured by Chris Humphrey, enjoy!

     

     

  • Jill + Henry

    Drawn to his tattoos and bad-boy charm, Jill could not get enough of the bartender she met at Daiquiri Zone. There was just something about his in-your-face personality and mega-watt smile that was unforgettable. After an invite to his twenty-first birthday party, Jill and Henry immediately hit it off. From that summer on, they were inseparable. Whether on a road trip to Dallas, two-stepping on the dance floor, or a date night at home, the couple enjoys each other’s company over anyone else’s. Henry proposed on December 23, 2008, with a diamond ring in her sushi! The couple is planning a December 2010 wedding in Oklahoma City.     Jessica met Jake in geometry class during her freshman year of high school and after only three months of dating and at age 15, they both knew they would be married someday. They have continued their relationship and grown inseparable over the past seven years and will be married on their anniversary in July.     Brides of Oklahoma Looks of Love Contest

    Emily travelled to Chicago for a weekend visit to the Art Institute. She found herself alone in the impressionist wing with Matt talking about their love of art. By the end of the evening and after hours of conversation, Matt accidentally typed her number into his phone as “Emily Bischoff.” They were long-distance dating in no time! A year and a half later they returned to Chicago and between the throngs of school children on field trips at the Art Institute, Matt dropped to one knee and asked Emily to be his wife.   • Keri + Phil

    Brides of Oklahoma Looks of Love Contest

    Keri and Phil met in horticulture lab at Oklahoma State University. The two were in the same tight circle of friends but never dated. After graduation, Keri moved to Oklahoma City and Phil remained in Stillwater. Several years later, Phil’s work sent him to the Oklahoma City area. Keri and Phil decided to meet for dinner and catch up with one another, and the relationship took off from there! One of their favorite things to do is spend an early morning out on the lake in the summer! The two will be married in June 2010. Enjoy these snapshots!!

     

  • Elise + Daniel

    Brides of Oklahoma Looks of Love Contest

    One night Elise made an off-hand comment to her college roommate about wanting a man who could cook. Her roommate instantly said she had the right guy for her. Daniel and Elise were introduced at a party Daniel was throwing at his house.  He had prepared all of the food, and as Elise likes to say, “food sealed our fate that night.” After months of dating Daniel pulled off the biggest surprise of Elise’s life. He took her to “The Center of the Universe,” a pedestrian bridge in downtown Tulsa, where a naturally occurring echo phenomenon can be found in one tiny circle. After jumping through hoops to make everything fall into place, Daniel proposed in the echoing circle! Later that evening he continued the surprise with a customized dinner of all of Elise’s favorites at a local restaurant with their family. “Food will seal their fate” on June 26, 2010 in Edmond.     Brides of Oklahoma Looks of Love Contest

    Taylor heard Catie struggling to carry her dog's kennel to the third-story walk-up apartment, so he volunteered to carry it up for her.
