Almost Married – Sarah and Kevan

Kevan and Sarah first met at a Fourth of July celebration when they were just kids. Even at a young age, they knew there was something there.

Years later, now officially a couple, the pair along with their families were eating lunch after church. Sarah didn’t know it, but Kevan had big plans for this seemingly ordinary get together. Kevan had asked Sarah’s father to share a scripture out of a Bible in a nearby bookcase. He then passed it to Sarah to read aloud. As she began reading, she realized Kevan’s plan all along. She removed the bookmark from the bible and saw the phrase “Will You Marry Me?” underneath the passage. When she closed the bible and set it down, she saw her “new” name engraved on the front. Kevan got down on one knee and asked if she would be his wife. Before she could answer, she threw her arms around him and asked, “Did you ask my dad?” They laughed and Kevan confirmed that he did indeed ask her dad. It was the perfect start to their new beginning!
