An Organic Romance: Laura & Daniel’s Love Story
Laura and Daniel met at church two years before they ever started dating. They never thought of each other as more than friends until the summer of 2021 when they were both sponsors at a youth camp. They were next to each other in line to get food when they both bonded over stomach issues. That was when they started paying attention to each other. Laura felt like Daniel was the funniest person in the room and was so easy to talk to. Their relationship felt organic and natural. Six months later, they are official! Falling in love has been the greatest joy of their lives and they can’t wait for their wedding in May!

Baye + Jake
In Love in London
Jake and Baye met in college in 2019. He played baseball and she played soccer. They both knew of each other, but did not officially meet until an engagement party that was hosted at his college house. They were both headed to the bedlam football game the next day with some other people so they all decided to carpool from Tulsa to Norman. Jake had a photo that Baye wanted, so he got her snapchat and sent it to her From there, they continued talking until the wedding they were attending of the couple he hosted the engagement party for. At the reception, he asked her to dance and they went on their first date about a week later! Now, they are getting married at the same venue (The Mayo Hotel) that he asked her to dance for the first time at- over 6 1/2 years later. Jake proposed to Baye while they were on a trip in London. He hired a photographer that they had met at a family friend’s wedding in Scotland a few weeks prior who just happened to be based in London (fate!), and he dropped down on one knee just steps from Buckingham palace near St. James Park. Then they adventured through town taking photos near Big Ben and other landmarks. With London now holding an even more special place in their hearts, they eagerly anticipate exchanging vows in 2025, embarking on a new chapter of their lives filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Jessica + Tyler
A Jet-Set Love: Tyler and Jessica’s Globetrotting Romance
Tyler and Jessica met in 2013 during a study abroad trip to Kunming, China, 7,000 miles from home. As part of a small group of five students, they spent a lot of time together, navigating the challenges of unfamiliar foods, cramped spaces, and limited WiFi access, yet they had a lot of fun. After returning to the University of Oklahoma, their friendship continued and eventually blossomed into something more. Jessica, originally from Tulsa, received a visit from Tyler one weekend. During this visit, Tyler spent a whole day alone with Jessica’s parents while she was at work. At the end of his trip, he remarked, “Do your parents know everyone in Tulsa?” After many visits to Tulsa, Tyler realized that indeed her parents almost know everyone, and he now considers himself an honorary Tulsan.
Following college, they braved several years of long-distance, countless FaceTime calls, numerous bus rides to and from DC, and even a quarantine stint in Tyler’s parents’ RV in 2020. Now, they are thrilled to finally be living together in New York City. When a friend recently asked them separately what their favorite thing about each other was, without knowing the other’s response, both said that their favorite thing was that through everything, they still have fun. After ten years, their relationship remains focused on what it was from the beginning: having fun together.

Mackenzie + Casey
A Love Story for the Books
In the quiet corners of Barnes & Noble, surrounded by the comforting scent of books, Mackenzie and Casey met for the first time. While Mackenzie was engrossed in a novel, Casey approached her, initiating a conversation about their shared interest. As their discussion deepened, the hours slipped away unnoticed, their connection undeniable. Little did they know that this meeting among the bookshelves would mark the beginning of a love story that transcended the pages of any novel. Their love story continued to unfold in the picturesque landscapes of Ohio, where Casey’s pursuit of a master’s in physics at AFIT brought them together. The vibrant energy of the state became the backdrop to their growing romance, from exploring charming streets to sharing laughter in local cafes. Fate then led them to Oklahoma, where Casey embarked on pilot training. The decision to move from their familiar Ohio surroundings to the unknown of Oklahoma was a leap of faith, a shared adventure that strengthened their bond. Navigating the transition together, they discovered the beauty of embracing change as a couple, turning each challenge into an opportunity for growth and shared experiences. In the enchanting setting of Gloss Mountain in November 2023, knowing Mackenzie’s passion for collecting rocks, crystals, and fossils, Casey playfully encouraged Mackenzie to find a cool rock for her collection. Oblivious to his plan, she eagerly scoured the ground, completely absorbed in their rock-hunting adventure. As Mackenzie’s back was turned, Casey found the perfect “rock” of his own—a breathtaking diamond ring that sparkled in the sunlight. When she finally turned around, expecting to share the discovery of a unique geological find, there he was, down on one knee, holding not just any rock, but a symbol of forever. It was a beautiful and romantic moment that added a touch of magic to their engagement story.

Hillary + Adam
From Lost in the Parking Lot to Lost in Each Other
Hillary and Adam’s love story began when Adam was auditing a course at OU Norman. Somewhat unfamiliar with the campus, he found himself lost and wandering around the parking lot on his first day. Hillary noticed his meandering and approached him. When Adam entered the classroom, he saw everyone wearing masks, as this was during the Covid-19 pandemic. He didn’t see Hillary’s entire face that day, but he was mesmerized by her beautiful amber eyes. After introducing themselves, they discovered they both worked at the same place. As they walked to their vehicles, they continued to chat. Their relationship blossomed over the next couple of classes as they walked each other to their cars and talked along the way. One day, Hillary asked Adam, “What do you do on the weekends?” He replied that he mostly worked but would love to meet her for coffee and asked for her number. They met at a coffee shop and had a great conversation. Following this date, they agreed to another. On their next outing, they met at a park and talked for hours. Adam didn’t want the date to end, so they continued to dinner. Still not ready to part ways, they went to their respective workplaces, where they gave each other a tour. At the end of the night, Adam wanted to kiss Hillary but lacked the confidence to do so. As he slowly walked back to his car in defeat, he heard Hillary express that she wanted to kiss him. They met at the hood of his car and shared their first kiss. Right then, Adam asked Hillary to be his girlfriend, and she happily agreed. The rest, as they say, is history.

Hayley + Tanner
From Schoolmates to Soulmates
Tanner and Hayley both attended Heritage Hall for lower school, middle school, and high school. Tanner’s mother was Hayley’s second-grade teacher and became one of her favorites. They were always aware of each other and moved in similar circles, with Hayley viewing Tanner as the cute older boy. Their paths diverged for higher education, with Tanner going to Oklahoma State University and Hayley to the University of Oklahoma, causing them to lose touch until they found themselves back in the same city. Over the years, Hayley occasionally encountered Tanner’s mom around OKC, who would invariably inquire about Hayley’s dating life. Hayley’s consistent response, “No, I am not dating anyone,” would prompt Tanner’s mom to suggest that Tanner and Hayley would get along well, to which Hayley replied, “Well, Gina, he is very cute, so all he has to do is ask me on a date, and I will go.” Fate played its hand in 2020 when Tanner, staying at his mom’s house before buying his own, and Hayley, living at her parents’ house in the same neighborhood while finishing nursing school, ran into each other. Tanner was assisting his mom with errands, prompting Hayley to stop and chat. Their conversation lasted nearly an hour, leading to Tanner asking Hayley out. Their first date was on August 7th, 2020, marking the beginning of their shared history.
“Hannah dreamed up a beautiful wedding! Timeless and fairytailesque. She chose different shades of pink to pop against the softness of her gown and paired it with a cathedral veil. Her dress, his tux, lush florals, with pops of gold were a dream to photograph!” – Haley Bronwen Photography
