Keeping Tradition Alive
“My husband is Norwegian, so it is traditional to say a group Norwegian prayer at the rehearsal dinner,” writes the bride. “Carson led it and all of his extended family joined in. It was such a special part of our celebration to include a family tradition that dates back several centuries.”
The Wedding Day
Emma and Carson’s nuptials were the epitome of springtime romance, starting with Emma’s dress, which deviated from the typical all-white gown. Purchased at La Mariee Boutique, the dress featured light blue and blush pink florals against a white background. Emma’s bridesmaids also wore beautiful rose gold gowns from the same shop.
Decor and rentals from Party Pro Rents added to the posh, garden aesthetic while florals from Ever Something created a whimsical and romantic feel. “Taylor from Ever Something Florals blew us away with her attention to detail and customer service,” writes Emma. “She never made us feel like we were asking too much, even though we required a lot of help from her. In the end, our florals were what elevated our wedding day to something we couldn’t even have dreamed of.”
After an intimate first look and gorgeous ceremony, the couple celebrated with their closest family and friends, singing songs together and dancing the night away with music from RedLine Entertainment. The couple also shared a gorgeous cake from Sweet Devotion Cakery with their guests. Adorned with flowers to match the bride’s dress, it fit perfectly with the day’s theme.
Everything came together under the direction of Bee Balanced Events and was captured in a timeless film by Jordan Miears Photography + Films, LLC.
Emma & Carson’s Favorite Moment
“We live in Nashville and are professional musicians, along with many of our friends. Carson arranged a group of our friends to play five live songs, which included our first dance, a community dance, and three upbeat songs to kick off the dance party. Later in the night, our friends impromptu played another one of our favorite songs called ‘All My Friends’ by LCD Soundsystem. The song is really long (eight minutes!) and has a ton of verses, so many of our wedding guests took turns sharing the mic and singing along. It was one of the most special moments of our lives to dance with our loved ones with music played by our friends.”
