This “Secret Garden” Wedding Has Been the Hardest Secret For Us to Keep!

Thursday, July 8th, 2021

The secret is out – our cover bride’s elegant fall wedding is here, and we couldn’t be more in awe! Swathi and Tim’s wedding weekend celebration was full of love, cultural traditions and details that had us absolutely swooning from the second we first saw their gallery. To start off the weekend of “secret garden” festivities, the couple had a traditional American wedding ceremony and dinner reception, followed by a traditional Indian wedding ceremony and lunch reception the next day, both taking place at the beautiful Coles Garden Wedding and Event Center – quite literally the perfect venue for this couple’s garden, elegant, colorful vision to come to life!

With a burgundy, peach and plum palette that just draws you in, these warm, autumnal colors are infused in every element, from the chic bridesmaids dresses down to the custom invitation suite crafted by Eros Studios. Truly stunning florals by XO by Haleigh Kenney (A.K.A. “the queen of flowers,” a la the bride herself) make each scene – installations full of a collection of peach dahlias, burgundy and coral peonies, garden roses, sweet pea ranunculus and an assortment of berries, copper beach and fall foliage create the ideal juxtaposition in this floral design. Nothing is more romantic than a secret garden feel, and moody gold and deep plum decor from Marianne’s Rentals sets the tone for an evening dinner reception, while light blush and peach decor ties seamlessly into the traditional Indian lunch reception for the next day – while OKC Entertainment enhanced every romantic or brunch feel with the right tunes to set the mood.

Swathi wore an off-the-shoulder trumpet silhouette bridal gown from Bella Rose Bridal – Edmond and accessorized with a crystal belt from The Bridal Boutique for an added touch of sparkle. Her bridal look was complemented with luxe Hollywood-style curls with one side pinned behind the ear, naturally glowing skin, bold eyeliner and a wine-colored lip, all by Brushed Salon and Makeup Studio. The Skirvin Hilton was the perfect accommodations for the bride and groom plus their guests to take a nights rest between the weekend-long celebration, and favors from Mixed Sugar were the sweetest late night snack to enjoy. All of this gorgeousness couldn’t have been possible without the expect wedding planners from Fête – thank you for our newest obsession! Pulley Productions‘ wedding video from this day is a cinematic masterpiece, while Kristen Edwards Photography captured every detail of this weekend-long celebration flawlessly, including the stunning cover shot for our newest issue of The Brides of Oklahoma – how beautiful, right? Scroll to see all the details of this secret garden wedding and to see why it was such a hard secret to keep! Cheers to The Farinas!

From the bride about her dream wedding maker: “Haleigh Kenney is truly the queen of flowers. A challenge we faced with a two-day ceremony was ensuring that both families and traditions were well-represented, but that all of the decor and florals were cohesive so everything felt like one big event. Haleigh, despite never having done an Indian wedding, accepted that challenge in stride and created floral masterpieces that were a perfect blend of her talent and my preferences. Her creativity and positivity are traits that I will always admire.”

This Couple’s Furry, Four-Legged Bridal Party is the Absolute Sweetest!

Tuesday, July 6th, 2021

What started as everyday snack runs to OnCue turned into endless days at the dog park for this couple! Hannah and Jordan would see each other every day when Jordan would visit the OnCue that Hannah worked at for a quick snack grab, exchange of flirty smiles and casual small talk. When it came to be Hannah’s last day, she just knew she needed to give the cute mail boy her phone number – just for him not to show! Don’t worry, the next day he came into the store, was surprised with her phone number on a piece of paper and the rest is history. From the first text Hannah knew she found her best friend, soul mate and dog-loving man she wanted forever – a bonus that their fur babies got along perfectly from the start, too! Finally, the two were married in this outdoor garden party with so many vintage details and the prettiest mauve and blush palette that couldn’t have been better for an end-of-summer wedding. Adorable vintage decor by Runaway Belle Vintage Rentals includes trendy pieces of crushed velvet lounges for guests to relax in and an antique white vanity for the cutest little drink bar. Tablescapes with white linens and blush, quartz and lavender decor with subtle pops of gold tie all the vintage garden party feels of this celebration together perfectly! Danielle Villemarette & Co. captured all of the stunning details of this day – you don’t want to miss a peek into their wedding, featured below. Scroll to read about how this couple’s furry, four-legged friends played a big part in their day in the sweetest way. Cheers to the Netts!

From the bride about her favorite detail: “If you know me, then you know that I love our dogs more than anything in the world, so naturally they had to be involved! Our Golden Retriever, Saoirse, did a wonderful job as my ‘Dog of Honor.’ Zelda, our German Shepherd, was Jordan’s ‘Best Girl,’ and our Australian Shepherd did a wonderful job of being a bridesmaid. Everything turned out perfectly.”

Light & Airy Summer Wedding Inspiration at The Bella Donna

Friday, July 2nd, 2021

With a wedding day centered around love and marriage, Sydney and Micah’s light and airy summer wedding couldn’t have been at a more perfect venue than The Bella Donna Wedding Chapel & Event Center! After the craziness of having to reschedule because of COVID-19 and having three different wedding dates, this couple could confidently rest in the fact of knowing that, while the little details might change, the most important thing is one another and the love you share – making this wedding day one of the sweetest we’ve ever seen. Sticking with the light and airy theme of the day, crisp white linens and clear chiavari chairs from Party Perfect Event Rentals bring delicate touches to this scene. With plenty of space for guests to mingle indoors or out, perfect covid-sized tables placed on the beautiful lawns of The Bella Wedding Chapel & Event Center allowed guests to enjoy the sunny summer day as well as learn a little bit more about the couple’s love story from the decor – peep the tiki torches! Fun fact: Micah proposed to Sydney outside of her home with a sidewalk lined with tiki torches and a heart made out of rose petals! Laura Eddy Photography captured every beautiful moment of this light and airy day, including Sydney’s chic bridal gown from Chantilly that looks like it was practically made for her. Scroll to see all of the stunning details and to read about the bride’s favorite memory. Cheers to The Wilsons!

From the bride: “My favorite memory of our wedding day was the moment I walked into the chapel and saw Micah for the first time. There were so many emotions flowing through both of us. We had so much built up anticipation that we both were trying so hard to hold back tears. We couldn’t take our eyes off each other.”

A Rustic Chic Maroon Wedding Full of Romance & Thoughtful Details

Wednesday, June 30th, 2021

Ashlann and Colton’s rustic chic wedding is full of romance and bursting with thoughtful details from the bride herself! This couple’s love story began through a mutual friend, where Ashlann was trying to get her high school best friend to date Colton (like any encouraging friend would do, right?). Fast forward to a couple years later when Ashlann and Colton first met – it was then that they realized that her best friend was talking about this military boy all along. Ashlan never believed in love first sight until she met Colton, and now she’s a firm believer! With a non-traditional romantic love story with how they first met, they were sure to bring their unique love story into every sweet and thoughtful detail of their day – so much so that it makes Ashlann tear up with all the sentiment. Romantic shades of deep maroon accented with gold and soft rustic details from Party Pro Rents bring in all the cozy vibes to this September wedding scene. Sweet and delicate, this couple’s three-tiered wedding cake from Sweet Devotion Cakery is definitely one of our favorite details from the celebration. Chelsea Littleton Photography not only flawlessly captured every rustic chic and maroon detail of this romantic day, she also happened to be the bride’s favorite vendor along the way! Scroll to see all of the lovely details and to see why this rustic chic wedding is full of romance. Cheers to Mr. and Mrs. Olivares!

From the bride about her dream wedding maker: “My favorite vendor was Chelsea Littleton Photography. From the beginning she was always very helpful and personable. Even though we hired her as our wedding photographer, we now consider her our friend. She is crazy talented and truly is one of the best in the business. She documented our wedding day so well that when I look at our pictures, I almost feel like I’m reliving the day again. I could not be more satisfied and I will always recommend her to anyone I know!”
