A Dreamy, Sun-Dappled Aspen Ranch Engagement Session

Dani and Kyle made a whole dreamy day out of their Aspen Ranch engagement session captured in sun-dappled detail by photo visionary Danielle Villemarette & Co.! The couple first met when they were only 16, both playing in a recreational volleyball league. Fast forward eight years and the two are now joined in marriage, just tying the knot in May! To start their engagement shoot out with a bang, Dani surprised Kyle with a tour of the luxurious and extensive getaway car fleet at Aspen Ranch. There, Kyle admired the venue’s 2019 Rolls Royce Ghost, 2019 Porsche 911 Speedster, 2017 Porsche 911 Turbo S, 2012 Mercedes SLS AMG Roadster, two 2012 Lexus LFAs, and a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro. Then, the pair ventured around the expansive property where they would soon be wed, taking it all in to truly capture the essence of the magical place. From bike rides to boat rides to mingling with the rescue animals, Dani and Kyle did it all!

Their May wedding planned by Blue Chalk Events was a beautiful success in shades of blush, moss, ivory and gold. One of their favorite details from the day was the double-sided acrylic frames that were on every cocktail table. On one side, each displayed a different engagement photo and on the other, included a fun fact about the newlyweds on the same stationery as their invitations from Chirps & Cheers! We can’t wait to see it for ourselves and share it with our wedding enthusiasts soon enough. From the bride: “Kyle proposed to me on a beautiful 80-degree day in March. Kyle does photography and video work with drones and we love going out together to take photos, but we hadn’t been able to go out and fly it because of the crazy winter weather. When this gorgeous day presented itself, Kyle asked if I wanted to go take pictures of us and our dog Finley at a nearby pond we like to go to. We got to the lake at golden hour and while Kyle was setting his drone up, I started to walk Finley around! After he got it set up and in position, Kyle asked me to grab something from Finley’s jacket and I pulled out a handwritten note. Unknowingly, while I was reading the letter, Kyle was walking behind me. After reading the note with the last line asking ‘will you marry me?’, I turned around and Kyle was on one knee asking me to marry him. A super special part of this is we have the whole proposal on camera from the drone footage!”
