Keondra Butler and Matt Watkins’ Glam New Year’s Wedding at The Skirvin Captured by Modern Love Oklahoma

Keondra and Matt first met through a mutual friend at church and had their first date at the Credo House Coffee Shop. When Matt decided to propose, he knew he wanted it to be at the same coffee shop as their first date. Matt gave Keondra a gift, which was a sweater that had the words “wifey” on it. As soon as she finished opening the gift, Keondra looked over and saw Matt on one knee. He asked her to marry him, and she excitedly said “Yes!” Their friends and family then came out of a hidden room and congratulated them on their engagement.

On New Year’s Day 2016, Keondra and Matt were married at the First Church of Oklahoma City. Keondra wore a beautiful tulle and lace ball gown and carried a hand-tied bouquet of ivory and white flowers with a touch of greenery. Some of the couple’s favorite moments from the wedding were the prayer before the ceremony and not seeing each other until Keondra walked down the aisle.
The reception was held at The Skirvin Hilton, where Keondra and Matt had their first dance to “The Point of It All” by Anthony Hamilton. The entire day was a dream come true, and the couple is sure to remember their big day forever.

After the ceremony, Keondra and Matt honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. They are currently enjoying married life at their home in Oklahoma City.
