Sarah Wickersham and Andrew Briscoe may not have met in a traditional way, but by the chemistry in their venue engagement session, we would have guessed they’ve been together for years! The real story is quite different, just beginning in the early stages of the pandemic. One day while Sarah was quarantined, she stumbled across the Instagram post of an OKC Realtor with a heart for Jesus. She thought he was cute, followed him, and even liked a few of his pictures for good measure. Andrew messaged her later that night, and they talked and FaceTimed until meeting in person two weeks later. Shortly after meeting, the couple’s friends knew something special was forming – with both sides of their future wedding parties quoted saying the pair surely would get married! A.W. Photography Inc. captured all the intimate, fuzzy-feeling moments around the couple’s soon-to-be wedding venue, The Baumberhof. The pair showed off their casual side in the cozy loft area, and stepped out in style around the expansive outdoor property with a stunning red dress from The Bridal Boutique! Sarah and Andrew look so excited for their upcoming April wedding where they will be celebrating in shades of pink around this breathtaking venue, with the help of other talented local vendors like floral by Poppy Lane Design! We can’t wait to see it all come to fabulous fruition. Read on for a note from the two about the full story of how they first met (spoiler alert: it’s one for the books, and oh-so-sweet!). Cheers to the soon-to-be Briscoes!
From the couple: “On Thursday, September 23, 2021, Andrew told Sarah that they were going to O Bar that evening, their favorite lounge with the BEST view of downtown OKC. He steamed Sarah’s favorite dress, made sure her nails and hair were done, and told her to meet him at his downtown OKC apartment at 7 pm. On the way to the car, Andrew mentioned that he couldn’t remember what floor he parked on and discreetly hit the button to take them to the top floor of the parking garage. As they exit the elevator, Sarah sees a floral arch set up at the end of the rooftop with a candlelit path and hundreds of rose petals scattered around. At the end of their walk to the proposal location, Andrew wrote down the sweetest words to say and knelt down on one knee, pulling out Sarah’s dream ring. Of course, she said YES! Sarah looked over to see her best friends, Andrew’s dad, and a photographer cheering them on and capturing the moment. They popped champagne, took a few more pictures, and then headed to an engagement party at Sarah’s parent’s house with both of their extended families and long-time friends. The entire night was absolutely perfect and a dream come true!”
