This gorgeous tablescape design by Forever Cole Events was created with the florally-inspired and simplistic beauty bride in mind. The industrial setting at Plenty Mercantile and the organic florals crafted by Forever Cole Events truly sets this design apart. The model bride wore a beautiful long-sleeve gown from BeLoved Bridal and jewelry from Lewis Jewelers. Profile Concierge Hair Services created her loose bun, and her striking makeup was done by Atherial Skin and Makeup Studio. The calligraphy pieces by Prairie Letter Shop added a unique flair to this organic tabletop. Andrea Howard Cakes designed the three-tiered cake complete with hand-painted floral elements and light pink and blue marbling. Mood Party Rentals provided the industrial rentals that completed this look. Hope Photography captured this darling day, and Stout Mulitimedia worked alongside her to capture some incredible behind the scenes footage (watch below!). Happy Tuesday!

Southwestern Destination Engagement Shoot by Chelsea Denise Photography

This stunning destination engagement shoot at Scottsdale and Sedona by Chelsea Denise Photography is a must-see! With a flush of natural sunlight, the beautiful Southwestern landscapes are the perfect backdrop to the lovely couple. The shoot also includes an intimate indoor session that allows the love between Daniel and Amy to truly shine through.

Daniel and Amy met in high school, and their love story began when Daniel asked Amy to prom their senior year. They have been together ever since! Daniel had planned to propose to Amy at the Dallas Arboretum during the Twelve Days of Christmas display, but things didn’t go as planned. Amy rolled her ankle severely, and Daniel had to carry her to her apartment. After this change of plans, Daniel carried her outside to her balcony and popped the question. The proposal turned out even more perfect in the intimate and special setting.

Daniel and Amy will be married in March at The Historic W. Amy’s favorite part of her upcoming wedding is the centerpieces, which will be arrangements made from branches of trees at her grandmother’s home. She can’t wait to see her natural, bohemian wedding come together as she marries her best friend! Cheers to the happy couple, and thanks again to Chelsea Denise Photography for sharing this gorgeous engagement shoot!

Oklahoma Cake Artist Spotlight Series – Brown Egg Bakery

We’re continuing our Oklahoma Cake Artist Spotlight Series with none other than Allison Dake of Brown Egg Bakery! Ely Fair Photography captured this incredible local talent at Waters Edge Winery. Allison’s unique and original designs never cease to amaze us. Stay tuned as we continue to share more incredible Oklahoma wedding cake artists!

About the Design
I’ve been dreaming of a design that included some amazing hand painted gold Empress Cicadas that I saw for sale online. I was toying with the creative process on how to apply bugs to cake…and, still have the end result look appealing. I kept the overall design simplistic, and really put the extra time and detail into the Cicadas. I wanted them to be the standout, yet remain soft and approachable.

About the Artist
I look at cake as an opportunity to showcase flavors! When I design cake flavors, I put a massive amount of time into creating and perfecting the flavor profiles of each cake. I would like to think I create cake for foodies…people who care about the way the cake tastes just as much as they care about the way the cake looks! Building a one-on-one relationship with clients is integral for weddings. When clients decide to book their wedding day with me, they essentially book me for the entire week of their wedding.  I don’t ever overbook weddings or offer consultations on weekends simply for this reason.

Perks of the Job

We absolutely adore tented outdoor weddings – they feel so luxuriously romantic! Brook and Adam’s outdoor feté in downtown OKC is lovely with gorgeous hues of purple and greenery that really pop beneath the beautiful setting. The bride was ethereal in her Lazaro gown from J.J. Kelly Bridal Salon, and her maids complemented perfectly in plum Dessy gowns from Prim.  Inspire Events and Design did an incredible job pulling together all the details for this couple’s dream day as well as designing the fabulous florals. Linens and lighting from Marianne’s helped set the scene perfectly, and guests were treated to delicious cuisine from Interurban Catering and a tasty wedding cake from Amy Cakes. Thanks to Sheradee Hurst Photography for expertly capturing every stunning detail. Cheers!
