Fall in love with the contemporary romance of this intimate dinner party reception design by Ivory Rose Event Co.! We’re getting romantic vibes from this artistic scene thanks to the lush florals from Anthousai in warm, moody shades, like dusty rose and burnt orange and their dreamy pampas grass installation gracing the industrial space at Plenty MercantileLaurel and Marie added modern touches to their stationery and signage with playful hand lettering and paint mark textures in a black and blush palette. All Things Cake created a metallic, marble print cake design – one of our favorite trends this season. Bringing much of the look together, Runaway Belle Vintage Rentals supplied speciality chairs (we’re eyeing you peacock chair!), metallic side table, pillows and rugs. With complementing picnic style tables and soft blush linens, Mood Party Rentals added the finishing touches of modernity. Hannah Miller Hair & Makeup Artistry created a simplistic look for the model bride, which was perfectly balanced with a flowing wrapped-bodice gown from Chantilly Couture. Katie Hadley Photography captured all these fashionable details that we will surely be obsessing over for weeks to come!

Enjoy perusing this contemporary inspo and be sure to take a peek Inside the Issue to see more of the editorials from the Spring/Summer 2019 mag. Cheers!

From the planner, Lauren Watts of Ivory Rose Event Co.: “The design behind this shoot was heavily inspired by a modern, but romantic style. I am obsessed with warm tones and lush florals and wanted the shoot to feel like an intimate, artful dinner party! We completely captured my vision, and I couldn’t have asked for more amazing vendors to collaborate with!”

We can’t get over the color palette from this modern mauve pink styled shoot captured by Emily Nicole Photo! Complete with icy blues and gray tones to complement the shades of pinks and white, the styling is contemporary, yet has a timeless romance to it. We love how Celeste Paper Co. wove all the inspiration colors throughout the invitation suite and how the bride’s gown from Chantilly Couture reflects that anchoring gray tone while still being light and airy. And speaking of light and airy, the space in the Festivities Event Center is ideal for this shoot with its high ceilings and lots of  lovely natural light.  The architectural design of the floral arrangements from Anthousai works so well with the vintage-style furniture from Marianne’s Rentals Special Event Solutions — especially at the sweetheart table. When something is as beautiful as this shoot, you can bet it all comes down to the details. Enjoy browsing this lovely shoot!

“This southern styled shoot is a pure reflection of me as a designer. I am an old soul at heart and love how old and new combined can be so beautiful. Old French provincial designs, silver, vintage china, unique tabletop pieces are some of my favorites to work with. I think tradition is a beautiful thing and it can be incorporated in so many different ways and I wanted to showcase how that can be done in this shoot. I loved this shoot because there are no rules, I intuitively designed it based off of elements that meant so much to me. Because of that, it all paired together beautifully. The same can be done for our clients and what means the most to them. That to me is what being a wedding designer is about.”

When asked where she draws her inspiration and her signature style as a designer, Allyson says this: “My aesthetic as a designer is very intuitive and just going with what pulls at my strings. I’ve realized some of my best work doesn’t come from following every rule and worrying too much about what makes perfect ‘sense.’ I love gorgeous details and just putting together what complements my couples’ unique stories. I would describe myself as an old soul in a new world, and I love the combination that brings out in me as a designer, especially for weddings. I love the different demographics I am able to work in as well since I was raised in both the country and city. They each include beautiful scenery that I couldn’t choose between if I had to.”

“The Gray wedding has been one of my favorite weddings as a designer. I loved how Garrison and Cody wanted it to be the two of them only during the ceremony, yet surrounded by all of their family and friends. I think it is incredibly special when two people keep the focus on them like this and kept their large guest list to celebrate with at the reception. It was an amazing celebration. Garrison has a very southern elegance about her, and she loves peonies, garden roses, neutral bashful color palettes and glam with rustic elements. Cody has a rustic flare, and the combination of it all in a gorgeous white barn on the lake was perfect for them.”

Allyson’s biggest advice for her couples is to stay true to themselves, stay true to their budget and to invest in the things that truly matter. “I always recommend that my couples discuss if they see themselves celebrating in a small celebration or with all of their family and friends, near and far. Then following is the importance of budget. My focus on budget is about what’s most important to you. What will you wish you had done differently looking back in ten years? I always recommend the three most important investments of commemorating their wedding day, venue, photographer and videographer. These three decisions will reflect the experience of their wedding day in measures I can’t describe.”

We couldn’t agree more with her invaluable advice, and we’re still swooning over all the beautiful styled shoots and weddings of hers we’ve seen! To inquire with Allyson Whitney Designs, get in touch via her vendor profile!

Whimsical details in an elegant rustic setting came together beautifully for a perfect springtime soirée at Eleven Oaks Ranch! With cheerful pinks and purples weaving their way through this inspirational scene, we’re loving every bit of this fun celebration captured by KRK Studios. The Medieval Garden put together several floral arrangements that fit beautifully with the theme, full of whimsy and pops of bright colors, adorning even the cake and cake pops courtesy of Mishelle Handy Cakes – how delicious does that dessert table look? Another element of this styled shoot we’re loving is all the textural pieces throughout the day, from the floral watercolor invitation suite from No Regrets, to the tablecloth beneath the place setting by Tulipsand even the whimsical lace pattern on the gown from Bella Rose Bridal. A tousled fishtail braid by Brushed Salon and perfect pink eyeshadow by Carolyn F. Beauty completed the bride’s fresh, gorgeous look. If a colorful springtime soirée is your idea of the perfect wedding day, look no further than this collection for fabulous inspiration. Cheers!

Embrace the romantic side of Oklahoma’s countryside as you browse this dreamy farm and field inspired shoot designed and styled by Grassroots Vintage Events. Set in the tall grasses behind The Farmhouse at Grassroots Farms, the rustic fairy tale came to life. A collection of mismatched seating from Grassroots Vintage was placed around a farmhouse table topped with the most stunning white blooms from Poppy’s Garden and an array of vintage dinnerware. The delicate, floral-embellished invitation suite by The Letter Box brought a touch of femininity to the rustic scene, while the darling mama and baby llamas (seriously, we can’t stop smiling!) add a bit of whimsy. Wearing a simple and flowing lace cap-sleeve gown from Chantilly Couture, the model bride looks summer wedding ready with a low floral-adorned bun styled by Profile Concierge Hair Services. Finishing the scene with a pop of color, Mishelle Handy Cakes created two beautifully textured cakes in pink hues. Captured by the incredibly talented Emily Nicole Photo, this farm and field styled shoot takes us back to our Oklahoma roots. Enjoy!

From the planner, Miki Tucker with Grassroots Vintage Events: “I wanted to do a reception styled shoot that conveyed an idea of a lifestyle. Being in Oklahoma, where there are many farms, tall grass and plenty of countryside, I wanted that feeling of home profiling an organic style of florals, soft colors in the china and details, simple and romantic tabletop decor, and a bride in her flowing summer dress and leather farm boots. Everything about this shoot highlights the beauty of my vision of a farm and field wedding reception.”
