This heart-warming engagement story shot by Sheradee Hurst Photography is giving us butterflies! Danielle and Slade’s engagement went off without a hitch all thanks to the incredible team at Inspire Events who worked tirelessly to make sure every aspect was perfect. From making sure the ring was nestled in Slade’s pocket in time, to coordinating the set up of the most magical party tent, Talia Morgan, the owner of Inspire, and her crew were truly the glue that brought this dreamy proposal together. Even with flawless decor, delectable catering and an incredible venue provided by some of our favorite local vendors, we can’t seem to take our eyes off of this adorable couple. Keep scrolling to see Danielle and Slade’s engagement story unfold!

Slade custom ordered the most dazzling ring, but low and behold it’s delivery wasn’t scheduled until the week after the date he and Talia had decided on and already coordinated with the other vendors involved in the proposal. With a quick phone call from Talia, the jeweler put the ring on a rush order and had it there in no time!

Danielle’s mother’s birthday being just a few weeks prior to the proposal date served as the perfect catapult. Danielle’s mother told her a few friends were throwing her a party and that she and Slade should stop by for the celebration – the perfect rouse! Meanwhile, Inspire Events made sure Danielle looked beautiful for the big day by creating faux promo material for a local team of professional makeup and hair designers, and having a friend tell her that she had won a drawing for a free day of beauty! On the day of the supposed birthday party, Danielle and her friend took off work early to get dolled up for the evening’s festivities. Little did Danielle know she would be the star of the show!

While the girls were getting their glam on, the videographer was getting set up at Broadway 10, the restaurant the couple would go to before the party. Inspire had organized a special seating arrangement for Danielle and Slade that put them in the perfect position for the camera crew. At exactly 6:15 pm, Slade was to excuse himself to the restroom to get mic’d up for the soon-to-follow proposal!

As the couple left the restaurant, guests were gathering under a gorgeous tent at The Red Barn on Waldo’s Pond. Stunning decor from Marianne’s Rentals along with beautiful stationary and signage by Hazel Paper Co. set the romantic tone for the evening. Blue Label Bartenders and Abbey Rd Catering provided the most fabulous drinks and hors d’oeuvres, and Amy Cakes made the eye-popping three-tiered cake with the prettiest cake topper that read, “She Said Yes!”

Sheradee Hurst Photography was, quite literally, hiding in trees, anxiously awaiting the perfect shot as the couple arrived and was greeted by the valet, none other than Talia’s husband! Danielle had no idea!

Walking toward the entrance of the venue, Slade gently pulled on Danielle’s hand to turn her attention back to him and got down on one knee. He popped the question, and she, of course, completely surprised and overjoyed, said yes! The couple then rounded the back of the house to find all of their loved ones ready to celebrate.

Danielle and Slade’s engagement was a night to remember with the help of such wonderful vendors! Cheers to this darling couple!

The smooth melodies of Oklahoma singer/songwriter Ron Curtis are a must-hear for couples seeking custom wedding entertainment. Ron began performing live all across the midwest in 2014 and plays a wide variety of genres including original songs, as well as, the songs of Michael Bublé, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Brett Eldridge and many more. He can create custom song arrangements to meet the needs for your bridal entrance or first dance and can accommodate almost any special request. We especially love how Ron can commission a new song unique to each couple and their love story. What a fantastic idea for a wedding gift or even a proposal! We sat down with Ron to find out more about commissioning a song and custom wedding entertainment. Read on:

Q. Tell us about the process of commissioning a song?

A. So, as you could imagine, writing a song can be pretty complex. There are many different aspects that require meticulous detail.

The first thing I want to know is the mood/feel that they’re trying to achieve. Do they want the song to be slow and romantic? Upbeat and fun? These are the beginning elements of a song that really help to shape the foundation of the writing process.

Q. How can you customize wedding music to specifically fit the couple’s vision for their ceremony and/or reception?

A. Almost all of the commissions I’ve received are for the ceremony processional. With this in mind, the peak of the song is almost always going to be written with the intention that the bride will enter at that moment. So, it’s actually very important for me to know when the song will be played during the wedding day.

As far as lyrical content, I pretty much just let the clients give me a long overview of their relationship together. After a short conversation, I’ll typically end up with enough content to write a full-length novel. Haha.

Q. Can a bride and groom have a recording of their commissioned song or even their wedding music?

A. Most of my clients hire me to not only write the song, but to also perform it live at the ceremony. In either case, the client will receive a professional studio recording of their song. I typically send the recording one month in advance for them to review and enjoy.

In fact, this is the same process that I do for all of my ceremony clients. Even if they request a song for the processional that I didn’t write, I still create a studio recording for them to review and listen to. It’s very important to me that the music to their wedding is the last thing on their mind to worry about. If there are multiple songs (for the wedding party and then bridal entrance, as an example), I even record the two songs together so they will hear the smooth transition.

French Countryside Wedding Inspiration from Leslie Herring Events

While we’ll never be shy to share our love for ultra modern or dazzlingly glamorous weddings, there’re so many oh-so-sweet details in this French countryside wedding inspiration shoot to make us obsess over Leslie Herring Events‘ “less is more” take on European charm! Captured by Kristen Edwards Photography, the team played up the natural beauty in Hillside Manor’s perfectly manicured grounds. Ivy covered structures, winding stone walls and even a little pond created the most picturesque backdrop for a sophisticated take on rural beauty! As a centerpiece to the shoot’s decor and main source of color, The Wild Mother created organic flower arrangements with blooms in shades of blush, coral, lilac, periwinkle, lilac and bright pink. Touches of overgrown greens gave the bouquet and table display a “freshly picked from the garden” appearance to add to the rustic charm. A simple yet stunning table display from Mood Party Rentals was created with a fluffy, textured blush-hued table linens, brushed silver serveware and a dainty ribbon-tied place card in soft pink script from Paper + More. They also crafted a lovely custom invitation suite complete with a floral design similar to the bouquet carried by the model bride! The bride herself donned two different looks, both elegant and perfectly suited for the charming French-inspired affair – first a V-front lace top flowing dress, perfect for a dreamy ethereal vibe and then a delicately beaded and embellished cold-shoulder, layered tulle gown. Blo. created a simple chignon to keep her hair pulled back for both looks, and Lewis Jewelers provided the glittering pear-shaped diamond she modeled as an engagement ring. But for one of the sweetest moments? We can’t get enough of the three-tier white and blue cake with it’s rope-like bordering and floral embellishments from Andrea Howard Cakes. From start to finish, we’re loving every detail of this country-chic wedding shoot! Enjoy!
