Muted hues and soft, natural lighting are giving us life in this luxe lounge wedding inspiration shoot from Paper Chandelier Events! Peyton Rainey Photography did a beautiful job of capturing the moody scene featuring elegantly simplistic rentals from KRK Studios and Rentals as well as neatly scripted invites from Paper + More. Our model bride was breathtaking with gorgeous hair and makeup by Trichology Salon and attire from The Bridal Boutique. Bold wallpaper from Ashley Woodson Bailey stole the show and provided the perfect romantic backdrop for the day. From the planner, Melissa King of Paper Chandelier Events: “My inspiration for the Camille settee started by thinking about what would most complement it. The settee is a light color so I wanted to put it against a dark but beautiful background that would show the contrast. I aimed for a lot of round shapes: in the curves of the settee, in the fullness of the flowers on the wallpaper and in the bouquet, and even the round curves of the dress, all tie in together. I wanted this shoot to be about a bride who has just gotten ready on her wedding day and is waiting in those still moments before she walks down the aisle. The contemplation, the anticipation and the elegance she feels I hope is apparent.”

Our set menus range in cuisines from all over the world and our custom menus give us the opportunity to capture the exact ideas a bride and groom have in mind.

Tasty Tips

What is your signature dish? I love to make Paella, but if I had to choose a dish, I would say it is our 7 Chicken – grilled chicken breast topped with asparagus tips, sun-dried tomatoes and citrus beurre blanc. We make it for a lot of weddings.

What advice do you have for brides who are trying decide between a sit-down vs. buffet style meal? I always suggest a buffet style meal as it lends itself to a more casual atmosphere, it also allows the dancing to get started sooner!

Do you offer menu tastings? We do offer menu tastings. I think it is the best part of the wedding planning process, except maybe the cake tasting…

Do you have a set menu or do you offer custom menus? We have both. Our set menus range in cuisines from all over the world and our custom menus give us the opportunity to capture the exact ideas a bride and groom have in mind.

What advice do you have to offer brides and grooms? When dealing with your wedding vendors make sure everything is in writing so there are no surprises on your wedding day. If you are expecting a certain service, make sure it is in the contract so there are no disappointments. All of your vendors want to give you the perfect day so let them!

What advice do you have for brides who are trying decide between a sit-down vs. buffet style meal? Plated meals off-site are hard to create variety for guests. Buffets create more variety of selection and are often more cost effective.

Do you have a set menu or do you offer custom menus? Set menus that are all customizable to your tastes/wants/budgets

What advice do you have to offer brides and grooms? This day is about you two, not the guests!  Don’t lose sight of that when planning your big day!

What is your signature dish? Pans Seared Scallops with Roasted Mushrooms and Leaks

What advice do you have for brides who are trying to decide between a sit-down vs. buffet style meal? When planning a budget, a lot of people don’t realize that buffets are actually more expensive because of the varying amounts of food that the chef has to put out for each guest, where when your plate is an exact portion. I like to do both, but I always suggest that a bride and groom find a chef who simply wants to build their dream menu.

Do you have a set menu or do you offer custom menus? We have a catering book that has some already pre-planned items, but we mainly end up building custom menus due to the variety of foods we offer between HRG Catering, Boulevard Steakhouse and Cafe 501.

What advice do you have to offer brides and grooms? Find your true love and let HRG Catering and Events build the day of your dreams.
