French Countryside Wedding Inspiration from Leslie Herring Events

While we’ll never be shy to share our love for ultra modern or dazzlingly glamorous weddings, there’re so many oh-so-sweet details in this French countryside wedding inspiration shoot to make us obsess over Leslie Herring Events‘ “less is more” take on European charm! Captured by Kristen Edwards Photography, the team played up the natural beauty in Hillside Manor’s perfectly manicured grounds. Ivy covered structures, winding stone walls and even a little pond created the most picturesque backdrop for a sophisticated take on rural beauty! As a centerpiece to the shoot’s decor and main source of color, The Wild Mother created organic flower arrangements with blooms in shades of blush, coral, lilac, periwinkle, lilac and bright pink. Touches of overgrown greens gave the bouquet and table display a “freshly picked from the garden” appearance to add to the rustic charm. A simple yet stunning table display from Mood Party Rentals was created with a fluffy, textured blush-hued table linens, brushed silver serveware and a dainty ribbon-tied place card in soft pink script from Paper + More. They also crafted a lovely custom invitation suite complete with a floral design similar to the bouquet carried by the model bride! The bride herself donned two different looks, both elegant and perfectly suited for the charming French-inspired affair – first a V-front lace top flowing dress, perfect for a dreamy ethereal vibe and then a delicately beaded and embellished cold-shoulder, layered tulle gown. Blo. created a simple chignon to keep her hair pulled back for both looks, and Lewis Jewelers provided the glittering pear-shaped diamond she modeled as an engagement ring. But for one of the sweetest moments? We can’t get enough of the three-tier white and blue cake with it’s rope-like bordering and floral embellishments from Andrea Howard Cakes. From start to finish, we’re loving every detail of this country-chic wedding shoot! Enjoy!

In the spirit of its European origins, we’re taking major notes on the authentically intimate, family-style table setting of this Italian inspired styled shoot by Marie Rose Events! Captured by Kevin Paul Photography, the shoot at The Hall at the Railhouse focused on the communal style table and celebratory dinner gathering for friends and family alike. Delicious noshes from Abbey Road Catering spread the length of the table, accompanied by the perfect post-meal treat selection in seven unique cakes, all in varying height and design with details like gold foiling and braided embroidery to impress even the choosiest of guests! Mimicking a traditional dinner in the Italian countryside, a grand table and dark wood chairs from Mood Party Rentals were dressed with white linens, dozens of candles, blossoming white roses arranged by Forth & Floral and carefully placed greenery to bring the room to life. In lieu of traditional place cards, Celeste Paper Co. added their special calligraphy touch to name individual leaves to coincide with the table’s organic aesthetic. Keeping with the simplicity of the shoot, the model bride stunned in a body-skimming sleeveless gown featuring an entirely lace back from Beloved Bridal Boutique to add the perfect extra bit of pizzazz to this truly delightful shoot! Cheers!

Read on for their expert advice to make sure you’re every bit the blushing bride on your wedding day!

Q. What advice do you have for a bride trying to find the right look for her day?

A. We encourage our brides to stay true to herself. Choose a look that is you kicked up a notch (or maybe two!). Have pictures ready to show your artist/stylist. Together, you can choose a look that is most complementary for you.

Q. Do you recommend doing a trial run before the big day?

A. Always do a trial run for hair and makeup! Coordinate your engagement or bridal photography session with your trial. This will allow you to see how the makeup and hair photographs. Also, try to do your trial earlier in the day so you can see how the makeup wears. Take note of any changes you may want to make and let your artist/stylist know. Never be afraid to suggest the changes you want to make. This is your day! We want you to love the way you look!

Q. What beauty trends do you predict for this Fall/Winter?

A. Fresh, clean and romantic describe the fall beauty trends for the upcoming season. Glowing skin with a hint of blush and a pop of color on the lips is perfect for any bride.

Q. What should a bride to do prepare for her wedding?

A. This can be a stressful time, so take care of your skin. Treat yourself to facials leading up to your wedding. Your last facial should be about a week before your big day.

Q. What is the most important beauty and/or hair product every bride should have?

A. Everyone in the wedding party should have a lipstick they love ready for touchups throughout the event.

Q. Any other insider tips you have for brides-to-be?

A. Ladies, this is your day! Relax and have fun! Let us pamper you and help keep you carefree and beautiful!
