Amanda Irby and Brian Kershaw’s Classic Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Hope Photography
Amanda and Brian first met while attending college at Oklahoma State University, and officially started dating in March of 2010. Following graduation, they dated long-distance while attending graduate school in separate cities.
Flash-forward to September 12, 2015: Amanda and Brian drove to Quartz Mountain State Park with friends for a fun day of hiking. While nearing the top of a mountain, Brian asked Amanda if she wanted to take a picture with the view. While posing for the picture, Brian got down on one knee and asked Amanda to marry him. Amanda happily accepted Brian’s proposal and the gorgeous gold ring!
After many months of planning their special day, it could not have been more perfect! The ladies enjoyed a day of pampering at The Skirvin, while the guys relaxed at Topgolf. The couple exchanged vows in front of 120 guests at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City. Amanda was given away by her mother and older sister. The bridesmaids were stunning in long, dark green gowns, while the men looked handsome in light gray suits. The flowers and details included lovely shades of burgundy, blush, cream and gold. The reception was held at The Gaylord-Pickens Museum where the couple danced the night away with family and friends. Guests enjoyed delicious food, drinks and desserts with the fun addition of a lively photo booth. The couple ended the night with one final dance and departed through a shower of sparklers.
Amanda and Brian then enjoyed a week-long British getaway in London, England for their honeymoon.
