Nicole and Brandon met through an online dating site. She recognized his username as a reference to a Blind Melon song, which immediately intrigued him. After spending some time getting to know one another through phone conversations, Brandon asked Nicole out for a sushi date in Norman. Until that first date, he had only seen photos of her online. When Nicole entered the restaurant – he was instantly smitten. And so their night began, as well as the beginning of their new life together.
The couple knew they wanted to get married and went about the proposal in a nontraditional manner – they worked together seeking out vendors to create her one-of-a-kind ring. To Brandon’s surprise, the ring was finished ahead of schedule and he got to surprise her with a proposal after all. The pair had just moved into their new home when he asked her to join him outside to look at something. Nervously thinking something was wrong, Nicole walked out to see Brandon on one knee. Relieved, she excitedly said yes!
Nicole and Brandon were married at the Myriad Botanical Gardens. The gorgeous ceremony was held in the Terrace Room that features an enormous window overlooking the water. Coordinator Heather Cole of Forever Cole Events made sure their day was unique and intimate yet relaxed. The couple’s friend, Anna, officiated the wedding making it even more special. After saying I do, the reception was held at the Park House at Myriad Gardens. The food was delicious and the dance floor was packed for most of the night thanks to DJ Sam Denny. The newlyweds loved working with photographer William Johnson.
To end their perfect night, Nicole and Brandon shared a special last dance alone on the dance floor.
