Emma Trimble Weds John Heinen | Traditional and Elegant Oklahoma Wedding

From the bride: “John and I are high school sweethearts. We met at Bishop McGuinness Catholic high school when we were 15. I remember exactly what he had on! From high school to college, John and I kept finding our way back to each other (even though we both went to OU, ha!) We always knew we would end up together and almost 12 years later, we did! I wanted my wedding to be very traditional. I grew up in the church we got married in, so that was special.

All the bridesmaids got ready at my favorite place, my parents house which was so much fun. I love my girls! Everything about the day was exactly what I had always dreamed about. We had all of our friends and family there. My dad and I danced to the Rolling Stones ‘Ain’t Too Proud To Beg’ which was so fun and different.

When we left the reception we had the horns from the band play all the way to The Skirvin while all the guests walked across and the party continued. I got to carry my Mimi’s oldest rosary which was the perfect ‘something old’ and had some new awesome blue shoes that I wore. My parents also sewed a piece of fabric into my dress that had a special Bible verse to us that read, ‘Remember, we loved you first,’ which was a very special surprise.”
