Four years prior to their wedding day, Tara and Kevin were set up without even being involved in the conversation. A week later, Kevin asked to borrow some of Tara’s books and from that day on they were inseparable. Two years later, they were engaged!

The couple’s engagement lasted two years as Tara wanted as much time as possible to ensure the perfectly planned wedding. They decided on the venue, Barn at the Woods, before anything else. Soon after, Tara began searching for the best wedding florist and planner to fit her style and found Haleigh Kenney of XO Flowers + Events. From the first meeting to the wedding day, Tara and Haleigh decided they are design soulmates.

The planning process was definitely a fun one. From discovering the perfect mahogany bentwood chairs for the reception to the large antique urns at the head of the ceremony, everything was sourced by Tara herself. The day of had tons of different colors that blended perfectly. The wedding party was striking with the bridesmaids in emerald green silk dresses and the groomsmen in mustard velvet blazers, and the groom wore complementing green and blue plaid. The bridal bouquet was filled with greens and gorgeous blooms with embroidered ribbons with words each bridal party member used to describe the bride.

When it was time for the reception, the tables were lined with blue and white vintage plates and brass candlesticks. Cafe 7 served the food family-style that was the talk of the night. The Round House Bakery did the cake buffet and it was nothing short of extraordinary.

After the amazing night, the newlyweds got onto a plane and flew to Paris for a week. It will be a time they will truly cherish forever.
