Madelyn and Vic’s love story started with Madelyn sleeping past their reservation time on their first date. Despite this, they knew they had something special. After about a year of dating, traveling the world and getting to know one another, Vic proposed in Hawaii on a family vacation. On the flight home, the planning immediately began.
As most brides and grooms know, the wedding is as much about them as it is about their families. One of the best pieces of advice they received was to pick what mattered to them and let the rest be icing on the cake. One of the couple’s favorite pastimes is live music, so Vic knew the one thing he wanted was to have their reception at the historic Cain’s Ballroom. Vic grew up in Kansas and Madelyn’s family was from all over, so what better place than a historic music venue to have their reception—it would enable everyone to have a taste of Tulsa, the place where the couple’s journey began. Madelyn wanted a live band and specifically, The Stars Band, and the remainder of the planning was a breeze.
The ceremony at First Presbyterian Church of Tulsa was short, sweet, and let Madelyn and Vic’s personalities shine through. The reception was nothing short of amazing—there were beautiful suspended flower arrangements, a barbecue fountain, chandeliers, live music and guests that loved to boogie. The couple danced the night away and enjoyed every moment with family and friends.
The night ended with a sparkler send-off with the beautiful downtown skyline in the background. After an unforgettable evening, the couple enjoyed an eight-day honeymoon in Dublin, Ireland. Madelyn and Vic reside in Tulsa where Madelyn works in the oil and gas industry and Vic is a cardiac intensive care nurse while attending Texas Christian University to become a Doctor of Nurse Anesthesia.
