A Dual-Themed Wedding

When it came to planning the wedding of her dreams, Oklahoma bride Kim Duit couldn’t settle on just one theme for her wedding.  Although she loved the look of a more formal affair with candles, custom linens, beautiful décor and specialty lighting, she also couldn’t resist the temptation of having a fun and lively tropical outdoor component.  With tons of help from Oklahoma wedding planner, Valerie Noah of A Wonderful Day, Kim’s dual-themed wedding became a reality.  We absolutely love how she incorporated fun and formality together!

The wedding and reception was held at Gaillardia Country Club in Oklahoma City, a grand and appropriate setting.  The ceremony was held outside on the impeccable grounds underneath a gazebo covered with an arch of over 40 dozen pink roses and urns filled with the same – all a carefully-constructed and artistic creation of Flowers by Pat in Oklahoma City.  Lighting transformed the indoor reception into an elegant, fairytale setting and outside was a tropical celebration.  All of the linens were provided by Bill Veazey’s Party Store.  Box Talent met all of the brides entertainment needs with two separate bands – Radio Soul with a more classic vibe and a steel drum band, Something Steel, who contributed to the island flair of the festivities outside.

Kim chose a Jasmine Couture gown from Moliere Bridal Salon and wore custom jewelry crafted by Valerie Naifeh of Naifeh Fine Jewelry.  Sooo Lilly made the blushing bride beautiful.  Dressed to impress, the wedding party was outfitted in tuxedos and bridesmaids dresses from J.J. Kelly Bridal.  The five-tier pale yellow cake with ornamental detailing was stunning and designed by Mishelle Handy Cakes.  Oklahoma wedding photographer, Beginnings Portraiture/Elayne Bryant Photography, captured the wedding day details!

Appropriately, the bride and groom continued the celebration together with a tropical honeymoon at Carisle Bay resort in Antigua.
