“My grandfather is a retired Methodist minister and has not done any weddings since he retired in 2017. However, he read the pronouncement and signed our marriage license. We also got married in the church that he was the pastor of for 33 years (and it’s where my parents got married) which made it all the more meaningful. I really tried to incorporate things that were important to both of us into the entire day and this really brought in the aspects of our family and the role they play in our lives.” – Abby (bride)
