This month we featured Lauren and Chad’s stylish campfire Tulsa engagement from Imago Vita Photography. See their oh-so-sweet proposal story below!
Lauren and Chad met in undergrad through mutual friends. Although Lauren went to the University of Oklahoma and Chad went to Oklahoma State University, by the time Lauren and Chad both moved to Dallas after college, it was not long before these two ended up dating. Three years later, the happy couple decided it was time to take the next step and began ring shopping and planning their perfect day.
On Saturday July 12, 2014, Chad couldn’t wait any longer and took Lauren to an old homestead turned wine bistro where the couple was meeting Chad’s mother for what Lauren believed to be a family photo session. As the photographer cued the last picture of the afternoon, Chad stole Lauren away to a nearby wishing well on the property. Here he asked Lauren to close her eyes and make a wish. Lauren’s heart raced, and Chad knelt down on one knee. When she opened her eyes, he asked, “Lauren will you marry me?” Lauren immediately melted into joyous tears and, of course, said, “Yes!”
The future Mr. and Mrs. Chad Duty are looking forward to celebrating their union on July 11, 2015, at the Silo in Tulsa. They are most looking forward to saying, “I do” at such an elegant and romantic venue surrounded by friends and family. Cheers to Lauren and Chad and a special thanks to Imago Vita Photography for sharing their fun engagement shoot!
