From the Runway to Your Tabletop
Brides of Oklahoma had the pleasure of sharing front row seats with so many amazing Oklahoma wedding vendors and invited guests at an event recently hosted by Marianne’s Rentals For Special Events at Coles Garden in Oklahoma City. This event has turned into an annual celebration that is highly-anticipated by all and we couldn’t wait to see Marianne’s debut all of their new linens on the runway! That’s right, a fashion runway show where each beautiful Anthony David Agency model is dressed from head to toe in nothing but tabletop linens. Tucked here, tied there, but beautifully draped nonetheless (with not an actual pin or stitch anywhere in sight), each model that walked the runway looked absolutely amazing and it was such a cool way to see the latest wedding linen designs, chair treatment sashes, etc. available through Marianne’s Rentals For Special Events!
This year, the company put a spin on it and categorized their models into distinct styles – think rustic, romantic, posh, etc. Each group of models wore linens that fit the particular style and gave guests in attendance a glimpse inside different linen options and pairings to consider for the different types of Oklahoma brides they might encounter. In the next room over, Marianne’s Rentals dressed actual tabletops with some of the linen designs that debuted on models seen on the runway. The linens looked beautiful on the runway but these tabletop designs gave you a real feel for how it might translate to your tabletop design and how an Oklahoma bride might incorporate these looks into a drop dead gorgeous wedding reception. Gorgeous florals from New Leaf Floral topped each table.
Enjoy these pics from the party and runway show and we’ve even shared a video clip captured by Oklahoma wedding videographers, Von Wedding Films, so you can see for yourself how this magical event came to life! Models were styled by Brent Patterson, creative designer at Marianne’s Rentals For Special Events, with hair by Oklahoma wedding hair stylist, Malorie Avaline, and make-up by Oklahoma wedding make-up pro, Jennifer McLaughlin Make-up.
For a fun-filled end to the runway event, Marianne’s enlisted Oklahoma wedding planners, Judy Lehmbeck of Judy Lehmbeck Bridal and Party, Robyn Martin of The Wedding Belle, Bea Penhall of About Last Night and Marianne Long of Marianne’s Rentals to judge each design that graced the runway (unbeknownst to the models). The top five designs and models who wore them were recognized and to add some light-hearted fun, Marianne’s even crowned a Miss Oklahoma Tabletop 2012!
Our team wrapped up the night at an amazing after-party hosted by Innovative Event Solutions, who transformed a space inside Coles Garden with specialty lighting and décor that would make for one incredible post-reception or wedding after-party! A lighted tabletop was all the rage and Innovate Event Solutions let guests get creative with dry-erase markers – everyone signed the lighted bar-top and drew pictures to leave their mark at the event! A fun photo booth from OKC Finest Photobooth, arcade games and lots and lots of dancing, music, drinks and sweet treats kept guests dancing through the night. Box Talent kept people entertained all night from a phenomenal saxophonist player during cocktails pre-event to a fab DJ post-event.
Enjoy these pics and be sure to swing in to see the showroom of Marianne’s Rentals for a peek at all of their amazing new linens, furniture and designs. Happy planning!
