Oklahoma Wedding Planner Profile: Nicole Allen Events

Happy Monday, brides! We are so excited to introduce you to one of Oklahoma’s top wedding planners today: Nicole Allen Events! Nicole is a driven, organized and passionate event planner who designs and executes events of all kinds with impeccable style. Nicole put her degree in hospitality and obsession with design to work in the wedding industry eight years ago, and has been planning incredible events ever since. Her knowledge of Tulsa (she’s an Oklahoma native) along with her training and experience ensure her brides and grooms have a stress-free wedding planning experience. What more could you ask for?

Nicole’s goal is to “truly make sure it’s the best day for the bride, groom, family and guests.” She helps her couples do that by executing thoughtful and well-planned events, ensuring their wedding style is true to their personalities, yet will stand the test of time, too! “This tablescape was so much fun to put together and had so many fun details incorporated! I wanted to do something out of the norm, so I gravitated toward rich shades of blues, marble and pops of pink for the color scheme. The rich blue velvet linen set a luxurious tone, and the marble chargers and details complemented the lush blue so well. Anthousai nailed it by adding a pop of color with the whimsical flowers which added just the right amount of romance to a fairly modern setup. However, my FAVORITE detail was the rosé tower. We used a beautiful five-tiered rose gold stand filled with glasses of rosé and adorned the top with whimsical flowers and fun signage instructing guests to ‘Stop and Smell the Rosé.’ Now we feel that every wedding needs a fun drink tower!”

“There were so many fun details of this wedding that I loved, but my favorite was all the pink! Staying true to the bride’s favorite color, we got to incorporate different shades of pink in all the details – from the gorgeous flowers, to the linens, to the stationery items and groom’s socks – every little detail had a hint of pink. A crowd favorite was the boxwood photo backdrop with a pink neon sign that read ‘Amie loves Geran.’ It was such a fun and unique backdrop for photos and the neon sign turned into a keepsake for the bride and groom. All in all, this wedding was truly pretty in pink!”

One wedding trend Nicole is loving? Incorporating the bride and groom’s dog into their special day! “Whether your dog is present for your photos (of course, with a gorgeous floral collar or bow tie), included in the ceremony by being walked down the aisle or incorporated as the name of the signature cocktail (or even better on the cocktail napkins)! I think it’s such a fun way to include something so special to the bride and groom into their wedding day,” Nicole says.

Nicole’s biggest advice for brides is to make sure they’ll still love the details of their wedding when they look back years from now. “I would describe my style as simple, clean and elegant with a pop of fun. I really believe that having one fun and unique element that pertains to the bride and groom’s personalities is key to their wedding day. Whether it be a signature cocktail with a fun bar menu, a unique escort card display, a fun late night snack or memorable favor, adding a unique element not only serves as a conversation topic but also makes the wedding more personable. However, I also believe in looking back 10 years from now and still having the bride and groom love the style/design of their wedding day – which is where keeping the design simple, clean and elegant comes into play.”
