This Oklahoma backwoods engagement shoot from Josh McCullock Photography holds a special place in our hearts. Bride-to-be Lauren has modeled in Brides of Oklahoma and our sister publications for years now, and not only does she bring so much joy to each shoot, but we can easily call her a friend of the team. We are so thrilled to get to celebrate with Lauren as she plans for her big day. Lauren and Jack’s oh-so-lovely engagement shoot if filled with incredible love and laughter between this sweet couple. 

Lauren and Jack have been dating for five and a half years. Lauren’s big sister in her sorority at the University of Oklahoma introduced them. They bonded over Waffle House waffles and good conversation, and before Lauren’s sophomore year of college, they decided to officially start dating. Fast-forward to July 1, 2016, when Jack gave Lauren the surprise of her life. She was in New York City for a dance intensive with the Rockettes, and on the last day of the trip, she and her parents headed to an Italian Restaurant right by Central Park for dinner. Lauren and her parents walked through the park on their way, and there, standing right in the middle of it all, was Jack. Lauren, thinking he was still in Oklahoma, was absolutely shocked. There, he knelt down on one knee and proposed.

Lauren and Jack will be married in July at First Presbyterian Church in Edmond, with a reception following at The Skirvin Hilton. Lauren is so excited to see the big day come together with the help of planner Gibson Events. Cheers to the darling couple and thanks to Josh McCullock for sharing their lovely photos!
