With each amazing image that crosses our desks, we are reminded of the immense talent found in the Oklahoma wedding industry. Over 10 years, we’ve seen trends change. We’ve fallen in love over and over with dreamy new floral techniques, the latest designs from the runway, cake designs almost too yummy to eat and every thoughtful detail put into each unique affair. Our team has taken a moment to scour the pages of the mag, our blog and endless posts on social media to pull some of our favorites and share with you why we’re still SmitTEN over these incredible images! Click here to see the full collection printed in the 10th Anniversary issue and keep reading to see a few key trends. Cheers! – The Team at Brides of Oklahoma
There’s a special place in my heart for this oh-so-pretty and preppy tabletop! The classic combo of navy with pops of pink paired with fun floral swag and beautiful bow details is as timeless as a southern bowtie! Makes me want to sip a sweet mint julep!

From the moment this picture crossed my desk, I was in love. The colors, the feel – it’s just so whimsy and romantic. It’s the perfect way to dress up your seat (throne) or drape down a table at the wedding. I would have it on my office chair if I could!

The second I laid eyes on this adorable cake from The Round House Bakery, I was head over heels! A gradient pink and white color scheme, precious geometric flamingos…what more could a bride want!?

(Water)color me happy to see handpainting trends in weddings! Illustrated details and brushed lettering in everything from the invitations to the cake give such a ‘hand-made’ and personal quality to a wedding. As an artist myself, I really admire the artistry in these ‘picture’ perfect details!

I’m crazy about bouquets and centerpieces that feel as if I’ve just wandered through the garden and picked my favorite blooms. Leave structure to the gowns – it’s all about free form florals!

Finding that perfect getaway to leave the most memorable night of your life is very important. I don’t even think it has to be some fancy car (although THIS fancy car will do)! Maybe it’s the car he first picked you up in on your first date. Whatever that getaway mobile is…make it special and unique to you both as a couple.

For a girl who doesn’t like icing much, naked cakes are the perfect cake option! Not only can you see the yumminess underneath, but add florals or berries and they’re just as pretty as a fully-iced design.

This is hands down my favorite wedding of all time- it was literally a SURPRISE wedding! Not only is this an incredibly sweet couple, but the element of surprise was awesome and is so special! From the look on Sami’s face when Joe asked her to marry him – TODAY – to the lottery ticket favors, this wedding was truly made special by the families and details involved. Both Ely Fair and Pen Weddings captured this one of a kind day in the best way.
