Off The Grid Brunch Proposal
Matt and I decided to take a winter getaway together to Breckenridge, CO. We decided prior to the trip that we would each plan out a day of things to do. The first day was Matt’s day. I was told that our first stop was brunch, so I knew that he had picked out the best place. We hopped in the car & began driving to “brunch.” We began driving through the mountains and I thought to myself – wow this restaurant must really be off the grid. We hopped out of the car and walked along the side of the mountain, overlooking a lake. It was a foggy morning, so only the tops of the mountains could be seen. Matt came in for the biggest hug and started to tell me so many wonderful things, but most importantly that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. He got down on one knee and as he did, the clouds lifted and the most beautiful background of snow capped mountains and a reflecting lake appeared. Standing behind us, the photographer captured and videoed our perfect moment. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect way to say “yes.”
