4 Tips for Brides Considering a Boudoir Session

Most brides excitedly look forward to their engagement and bridal sessions, but when it comes to doing a boudoir session, fears can easily arise. The intimacy and vulnerability of boudoir photography make for beautiful images, but many brides are apprehensive about the process. We’re thrilled to have boudoir photographer Kristina Gaines sharing four tips for brides considering a boudoir session. Her expertise in bridal boudoir is unmatched and her knowledge can put any bride at ease!

Kristina sat down with Oklahoma wedding videographer Dewberry Cinema to address common questions and fears about boudoir photography sessions. Watch the video and read the answers below to see Kristina’s advice for brides considering boudoir!

1. One of the most common questions I receive is what to do with your boudoir photos after your session is complete. The majority of my clients order gorgeous albums as a gift for their significant other. With other types of photo sessions, digital files are the most popular, but with boudoir, I find it to be the most thoughtful when presented in a tangible book or printed product.

2. Budget is another thing to consider when booking your boudoir session. I offer three tiers of collections personally to cater to a variety of budgets based on time spent in the studio and the products I offer.

3. My biggest tip for a bride considering a boudoir session is to research, research, research. Boudoir is such an intimate and specialized type of photography, and trust is very important. After researching your photographer, reach out and ask for personal reviews. And even better if you have a friend who has also been photographed.

4. Another common question I receive is, “Will my photos be kept private?” This is a great question! The answer is YES! My clients’ privacy is of the upmost importance to me. Their photos will be never be shared on social media or in any manner without the written consent from my client.

Thank you to Kristina of Kristina Gaines Boudoir Photography for sharing her insight with us!
