On the Brides of Oklahoma Fall/Winter 2021 Cover
Today is a happy HAPPY day, because we’re unveiling the Fall/Winter 2021 cover of the new Brides of Oklahoma issue! The fall/winter issue features the work of long-time Oklahoma wedding photographer, Kristen Edwards Photography, and one of our very favorite local weddings on the front. Swathi Shankar and Tim Farina were wed in the most beautiful fall wedding planned by Fête at Coles Garden Wedding and Event Center, and we were smitten with their incredibly colorful soireé from the first sneak peek image we saw from Kristen. Bride Swathi wore an off-the-shoulder trumpet silhouette Allure gown with draped straps in Mikado fabric from Bella Rose Bridal – Edmond. Beyond her pear-shaped diamond eternity band engagement ring, Swathi accessorized with a crystal belt from The Bridal Boutique and Loren Hope Abba drop earrings in white. Her fashion was beautifully complemented by luxe Hollywood-style curls with one side pinned behind the ear, naturally glowing skin, bold eyeliner and a wine-colored lip – all by Brushed Salon and Makeup Studio. Her groom was dashing in a classic black Jiwani tuxedo with dark red lining, paired with a black-buttoned white shirt, black bow tie and ranunculus and berry boutonnière. As if the striking couple wasn’t enough, the scene was completed with florals and bouquets designed by XO by Haleigh Kenney, coordinating with the bridal party attire in a collection of peach dahlias, burgundy and coral peonies, garden roses, sweet pea, ranunculus and an assortment of berries, copper beach and fall foliage.
Congrats to Kristen Edwards on snagging her first Brides of Oklahoma couple! Be sure to flip to page A1 in the new mag to see the couple’s traditional Indian attire, too, along with their incredible decor from Marianne’s Rentals, lighting by OKC Entertainment, favors from Mixed Sugar and invitation suite from Eros Studios. Plus we’ll be sharing their story and wedding highlight video from Pulley Productions online tomorrow. Stay tuned!
