Nishay and Anthony met at the University of Oklahoma after Nishay and a few of her friends went to the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity house. The pair talked the entire night and Nishay remembers their conversation flowing so naturally. Anthony was immediately smitten, but Nishay thought she had just made a new friend. After several months of consistently pursuing Nishay, the couple began dating and were inseparable. Nishay knew Anthony was the one very quickly.
After two wonderful years of dating, Anthony planned a celebratory dinner at Twelve Oaks Restaurant in Edmond, a special location to the couple. As they arrived to the restaurant, Anthony steered Nishay toward a gazebo on the property. Anthony had made a walkway out of hundreds of light pink rose petals that lead to the gazebo with a table and flowers in the center. He also made a book out of their memories as a couple such as love letters, movie stubs, concert tickets, pictures and more. As soon as Nishay saw the gazebo, she became emotional and knew exactly what was happening. Anthony asked her to marry him and she immediately said yes. Their entire family was waiting inside the restaurant for dinner, followed by a surprise engagement party in which all their closest friends attended.
As soon as the two were engaged, Nishay immediately began planning their wedding. Nishay imagined a classic, romantic and elegant wedding with blush, champagne and soft pink tones. The two were married on May 16, 2015, at Crossings Community Church in Oklahoma City. The morning of the wedding, Nishay was calm and excited whereas Anthony remembers feeling a little anxious. The couple decided to not have a first look and instead saved that moment for when Nishay walked down the aisle. She says the moment the doors opened and she saw Anthony, he was the only thing she was focused on. It was a moment the two of them will always treasure.
The couple honeymooned in Maui and is now enjoying married life in their home in Oklahoma City. They couldn’t have dreamed of a more perfect wedding weekend to celebrate the beginning of their life together.
