MARY + AUSTIN
We were on a family trip in Crested Butte Colorado with my soon-to-be fiancé’s family. Austin had planned a day for just me and him to spend together, hiking and shopping around town. We started the day hiking all the way up Mt. Crested Butte, of course, I was DYING. I mean for real dying, had to stop every two minutes and catch my breathe while Austin was just trucking along like it was no big deal at all. (little did I know that he had so much energy because he was so excited to get to the top to propose!) Meanwhile, the whole time we were hiking I had to keep snot rocketing my boogers (gross, I know. but what’re ya gonna do) because my nose wouldn’t stop running. I look back on that and always think, “man, he still proposed to me after watching me shoot snot out of my nose, what a keeper.” Anyways we made it to the top of the mountain, I sat down for awhile to catch my breath and as soon as I stood up and turned around, there he was, the love of my life, down on one knee with a ring in his hand. And the rest is history!
