Alisha Campbell and Henry Harrison Jr’s Rustic Glam Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Sarah Libby Photography
Alisha and J.R. met through a mutual friend in 2010 when J.R. was playing basketball professionally in Europe and Alisha was a cheerleader for the Houston Texans. They immediately hit it off and continued to date the whole summer. Even as J.R. went back overseas for the next season, the couple remained inseparable. Years of long distance and traveling together flew by!
After five years together, J.R. proposed on Alisha’s 30th birthday. She arrived to their house to find a scavenger hunt throughout the house that J.R. had set up. At the end of the hunt, there was a walkway of candles where J.R. stood at the end and asked Alisha to marry him.
Alisha and J.R. knew right away that Southwind Hills was where they wanted to be married. The Southwind team made their wedding process an absolute breeze. Alisha’s rustic glam wedding in hues of silver and navy tones as well as natural wood elements was exactly what she had envisioned.
Alisha added several special touches to her big day. The couple’s invitations were made from real cedar planks that Alisha’s high school wood shop class designed for them! The wedding officiant was very dear to Alisha’s heart; Dave Martin was the athletic director at Oklahoma State University where Alisha was a cheerleader. She was honored to have him as a part of her special day.
Alisha and J.R.’s wedding day was everything they could have imagined! Alisha will never forget every moment, but her favorite moment was getting ready with her family and best friends before the wedding. The happy couple is looking forward to a lifetime together, and they are happy to announce they are pregnant. Baby Harrison is due to arrive on their first anniversary!
