Anne of Green Gables Inspired Bridal Inspo at The Barn at The Woods

From The Barn at The Woods comes this beautiful bridal scene straight out of a novel: Anne of Green Gables, that is! Photographer Lauren Beauregard notes Anne as one of her most beloved characters from childhood and wanted to recreate those feelings of romance and nostalgia through a special bridal inspiration scene. From the venue, with its rolling green landscape and stately oaks to the organic, loosely gathered blooms by Anthousai, each element of this shoot helps us to reminisce on the feelings the classic novel evokes. Pops of color in the cake, cocktails and stationery by The Letterbox Shop brighten up the scene in a whimsical way. A redheaded bride couldn’t be more perfect for this scene, and she looks stunning in her long-sleeve lace gown from Prescott Bridal and gems from Kelley Jewelers. Scroll through the images below and be sure to read the photographer’s note to learn about a special sentimental element of this shoot!

From the photographer: “Anne is one of my personal all-time favorite characters and to honor her timeless romance with her childhood love Gilbert Blythe, I wanted to embody all things Anne in a modern bridal editorial. To accomplish this I gathered the most wonderful team of specialized vendors to bring to life a whimsical Anne-inspired theme utilizing summer colors, fresh fruits, wild blooms and classic elements straight from the pages of the novel Anne of Green Gables (like the infamous raspberry cordial incident). The entire location reminded me of Anne’s beloved Green Gables. To bring focus to the beauty of the natural surroundings, my grandfather made our team an oval shaped custom arch, innovating to create a window to the story we were capturing. This arch was not the only personal aspect added to this editorial; my grandfather actually gave me all of my grandmother’s milk glass dishes to be used in our tablescape. This brought a unique emotional element to the shoot.”
