Jennifer and Michael had a close relationship growing up as they attended the same high school and shared the same group of friends. It wasn’t until they were both finishing college that they reconnected and their relationship blossomed into something more. After dating for almost eight months, Michael planned a heartfelt proposal at his family’s ranch where he and Jennifer had their first date. Jennifer was shocked, but overjoyed at the thought of getting to spend forever with her best friend. The couple celebrated the exciting news with their friends and family at a fun-filled engagement party afterward. The pair was engaged on January 16, 2015, and married exactly one year later on January 16, 2016.
Jennifer and Michael were married at the Chapel at Crossings Community Church where the bride grew up attending. Michael’s pastor, Mark Hitchcock of Edmond Faith Bible Church, officiated the ceremony. Jennifer had help planning from Camden Chitwood of Emerson Events who turned her wedding vision into reality. The whole evening was traditional, romantic and fun – exciting elements included a string quartet playing as guests arrived at the church, a delicious, six-tier wedding cake, and an unforgettable dance party at the reception site, Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club.
The most memorable part of the entire weekend for Jennifer and Michael was having all of the people they love the most celebrating with them. From family traveling from out-of-state to friends who had moved away, it was so important to the couple that everyone attend and have a wonderful time.
The couple now lives in Tulsa where they are both working and living in their new home with their two doodles, Jack and Emmy.
