Elegant Oklahoma Wedding at Southwind Hills Barn | Makenzie + Luke

We love a beautiful barn wedding venue nestled in picturesque Oklahoma landscape, and that’s exactly where Makenzie + Luke said “I do.” Read on to find out more about their rustic wedding at Southwind Hills:

Thinking the two would immediately hit it off, a mutual friend set up Makenzie and Luke; the only catch was that Luke was living in Chicago at the time. He knew he would soon return to Oklahoma to begin his medical residency at the University of Oklahoma, so the couple didn’t let distance come between them. Luke visited Makenzie in Oklahoma some weekends and Makenzie made the trip to Chicago on others.

Two months later, Luke was back in Oklahoma for good and soon after that he decided to ask Makenzie to marry him. She was totally surprised thinking their date night was just a regular night out for dinner. After getting dressed up, the couple dined at an eatery near Lake Hefner and then walked to the lighthouse where Luke got down on one knee and proposed. Makenzie happily accepted!

On March 20, 2015, Kaitlyn Makenzie Muse married Timothy Luke Cramer at the Southwind Hills Barn in Goldsby, Oklahoma. Makenzie wore a striking Allure beaded lace gown with a sweetheart neckline and a cathedral-length veil with beaded edges. She wore her grandmother’s blue sapphire and diamond bracelet as her ‘something borrowed’ and ‘something blue,’ and carried a spring bouquet filled with peonies, garden roses, ranunculus and dusty miller greenery.

The most memorable moment for the couple on their wedding day was standing together at the altar. The ceremony was just as beautiful as Makenzie had always imagined and the two will never forget exchanging vows.

The reception was also held at Southwind Hills Barn, which was decorated in elegant shades of white, cream and blush with metallic accents. The newlyweds shared their first dance to “The Way You Look Tonight.”

Makenzie and Luke jetted off to their honeymoon in Riviera Maya, Cancun before returning home to downtown Oklahoma City where Makenzie teaches first grade and Luke is continuing his medical residency.
