Oklahoma Ballroom Wedding Captured by Kristen Edwards Photography | Sarah + Samuel
January 21
There’s nothing more classic than a ballroom wedding, and Sarah + Samuel’s navy and ivory Oklahoma ballroom wedding is timeless. Read on for more details from their special day:
Samuel managed a farm in Woodside, California where Sarah’s sister kept her horses. When Sarah moved to California from New York, the two developed a friendship and began spending a lot of time together. Sarah even had Sam teach her how to rope just so she could spend more time with him. From there, their friendship grew and they started dating.
Sam planned on proposing on the beach while they were in California for her sister’s wedding. As soon as Sam got down on one knee, Sarah immediately said yes!
The two were married on October 4, 2014 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Cathedral. Sarah walked down the aisle in a beautiful gown with a lace appliqué bodice and a structured satin trumpet skirt accompanied by her father. She carried a romantic bouquet comprised of ivory floral with touches of greenery and hues of light peach. The stems were hand-tied and wrapped with a handkerchief from her grandmother and secured with a brooch from Sam’s grandmother.
The newlyweds danced their first dance to “Love Your Love the Most” by Eric Church. One of their most memorable moments was when the groomsmen picked up the groom and took over the dance floor dancing to “Tonight We Ride” by Tom Russell.
The newlyweds honeymooned on the beaches of St. John and now happily reside in Purcell, Oklahoma where she works as a land business analyst and he is an outside salesman.
