A Gothic Edge Halloween Wedding at Festivities

Jessica and Stephen’s moody and romantic gothic edge wedding is the perfect Halloween affair at Festivities Event Center. The couple’s love story first began after meeting at the Oklahoma City Zoo, where Stephen works. When it came down to planning the engagement, Stephen decided to propose where the couple first met, at the zoo in front of the iconic Lion statue. After Jessica said “yes,” the two started planning their moody and romantic gothic wedding. Jessica wanted a unique wedding that created a fun and dynamic atmosphere for their guests. What better way to do this than have a dark and dreamy wedding on Halloween. The dark color palette with pops of white florals and gold accents is a creative way to combine non-traditional and traditional elements to create the most romantic space. Days before this romantic and gothic wedding took place, Oklahoma experienced an unexpected October ice storm. It’s hard to forget because many people were out of power for days, including Jessica and Stephen. They ended up having to write their heartfelt vows by candlelight, which is one of Jessica’s favorite memories.  Stephen and Jessica exchanged these vows in front of family and friends during their ceremony. Jessica wore a mid-length dress, while her groom looked dashing in a tux from The Wardrobe Modern Menswear. Many of the wedding vendors also experienced the same power outages, including Allie’s Baking Boutique. However, Allie did not disappoint despite no power till the day before and delivered the most beautiful three-tiered black monochromatic cake. We love the dark and cohesive decor and rentals from 110 Events that provided depth and texture to the space. The dark tablecloths, black chairs, but the pop of gold plates and white florals is majestic and romantic. Guests enjoyed food from Harris Custom Catering as they sipped cocktails to celebrate the happy couple. We are totally in love with this gothic Halloween wedding!
