Iman and Dominic met at a real estate seminar in the summer of 2015. Dominic noticed Iman when she entered the grand ballroom at Gaillardia Country Club, and was determined to meet her. The next day he called to invite her to lunch to “discuss business.” Within days, they were out to dinner and both began the thought that theirs was a match made in heaven. Originally thinking their plans would not work out at the time, everything changed in flash when they found that their faith, family, hopes, ambitions, and goals meshed perfectly.
Spring came, and Dominic invited Iman to Boston to meet his family. Upon returning, he flew his parents back to Oklahoma to surprise Iman at lunch. After meeting her father, who escorted her to the top of Devon tower, she followed a rose path to Dominic. He was knelt beside vases of white roses and champagne. After a tear-filled, “YES,” their families joined them for toasts and celebration.
Surrounded by friends and family, the couple was married on a clear August day at Gaillardia, where they first met. Reverend Chris Beall and the bride’s father, Robert Hefner IV, officiated their marriage.
Iman wore a custom designed fit and flare silk tulle gown with a cathedral-length train and a crystal studded Toni Federici veil. She carried a bouquet of sorbet-colored Juliet and majolica garden roses, hydrangeas and ranunculus by Birdie Blooms.
The couple celebrated their first communion with their children, who carried the family’s Bible and the groom’s daughter served as the flower girl. The grand ballroom glowed in golden hues and blush tones that were accented by white blossoms, willow and grapevines. The dance floor was personalized with the couple’s new monogram, with décor provided by Eventures, Inc. One of the most memorable moments was when the matron of honor and best man gave toasts that punctuated the evening.
Dave and the Wavetones provided entertainment, with an intermission for Lebanese “hafli” dancing, to honor the bride’s Lebanese descent. After the bouquet and garter toss, Iman and Dominic exited in their vintage white Jaguar. In high spirits, the couple honeymooned at Grande St. Lucian and currently resides in Edmond with their happily blended family.
