After they both #swipedright in the summer of 2014, Jessi and Kris quickly set up a date to meet for the first time. Jessi was not used to such polite, good-looking gentlemen, so she was quite frazzled when Kris knocked on her door looking like he had just walked off a runway. Kris complimented Jessi’s dress and she responded with, “Would you like to meet my pet ferret?!” The rest is history!

On the couple’s birthday weekend – their birthdays are only days apart – Jessi had a feeling that as she and Kris walked around the Myriad Botanical Gardens at dusk, her life was about to change forever. Unfortunately, she was a few months off. Two months later, Kris planned a magical proposal complete with a photo shoot, a butterfly release and a rooftop celebration. He planned a photo shoot to ensure Jessi looked “on point,” and as the shoot came to an end, she opened a box that released butterflies into the air. At that moment, Kris kneeled on one knee and popped the question! The couple celebrated downtown with their wonderful friends, family and a lot of champagne.

Jessi and Kris’ wedding day was a mix of happy tears and a lot of laughter – some laughter at the bride’s expense as she got Kris confused with his twin brother moments before their emotional first look. Nothing would have been possible without Jessi’s mother, the best wedding party of all time, and their incredible vendors. A special shout-out to Rachel Photographs for capturing every moment of the day that Jessi married the love of her life.
