This Couple Went for Two Looks with Their Studio and Lakeside Engagement Shoot

Olivia and Luis make the sweetest pair in their studio and lakeside engagement session captured by Chandler Rae Photography where both the serious and playful sides of their relationship were evident and adorable. They first met at Oklahoma Christian University where Luis played basketball and Olivia played soccer for the college. One day, Luis decided to walk up to Olivia in their shared cafeteria and introduce himself, they went on a date shortly after, and the rest was history!

When the time came to pop the question, Luis already had a special place in mind. The couple went to Packard’s New American Kitchen for one of their first dates and have been going ever since for special occasions, so Olivia didn’t suspect a thing when Luis told her that’s where he wanted to go for dinner the night before his birthday. After they had finished with dinner, the manager came to inform them that someone had paid for their meal and wanted them to enjoy dessert upstairs on the outdoor patio. When they reached the rooftop, Olivia walked outside to find a dreamy proposal setup complete with “MARRY ME” in big marquee letters, all arranged by Luis. She was completely shocked, and of course said yes!

Now, the pair are planning a modern and classic summer wedding in black and white palette for August of 2022. They will start their nuptials with a chapel ceremony followed by a reception at Oklahoma Hall of Fame and Gaylord-Pickens Museum which bride Olivia is the most delighted about. “I am very excited about the venue itself,” says Olivia. “I think it’s cool because you have the option to have both an outdoor area and indoor area. The outdoor area is beautiful. There are waterfalls on both sides walking in and lights strung up. Even though it will be hot in August, I love that everyone will be walking in through this outdoor area.”

The soon-to-be bride can also hardly wait to have the help of local wedding vendors Abbey Road Catering, Mood Party Rentals, Marriane’s Rentals and Pulley Productions on their big day.
