Morgan Hampton and Robert Dunlap’s Boho Oklahoma Wedding

Morgan and Robert met at Cimarron Middle School and immediately became best friends. Robert admits, he knew he loved her since the day he met her. After two years of friendship, Robert got out of the friend zone and the two started dating in 2008.

One day after going to the Oklahoma State Fair, Robert wanted to drive to Tulsa to look at rings one last time. About halfway there, he said he had to pick something up from the TRJ Ranch. When they pulled up, there was a beautiful homemade sunflower field (Morgan’s favorite flower) and a cabana. Robert immediately got down on one knee and Morgan was speechless, and of course she said yes! Afterward, the couple celebrated at a surprise party Robert had planned with both of their families and her two best friends who drove up from Texas. Robert truly outdid himself and is always impressing Morgan with his attention to detail and his true understanding of her.

The couple’s wedding was held July 9, 2016, at Southwind Hills. Morgan walked down the aisle in an Allure Bridals sheath-style slip dress while carrying an organic cascading bouquet. Both Morgan and Robert’s grandfathers officiated the ceremony. The groom’s grandpa, Roger, read the letter Robert wrote to Morgan out loud during the ceremony, and the bride’s grandpa read her letter out loud that she wrote to Robert. They loved the personal and intimate touch this gave their ceremony.

Following the ceremony, the couple enjoyed their first dance to “You Are the Best Thing” by Ray LaMontagne. The most exciting part of the day was right before Robert turned around during their first look. The second he turned to see her, he kissed her and she was completely at ease. The couple was so eager to see each other and soaked it all in together.

After their amazing night, the newlyweds honeymooned in Moorea, Tahiti. They currently reside in Fort Worth.
