Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Randy Coleman Photography | Autumn + Jerrod
January 26
Autumn and Jerrod first met when they were both student athletes at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Their paths crossed often but they didn’t meet until Jerrod saw Autumn and her friends out one night and he introduced himself. He got her phone number and soon after they were going on their first date. They dated through the rest of undergrad but went their separate ways during graduate school; she moved to Tulsa and he moved to Lubbock. They kept in touch, but it wasn’t until Jerrod was going to be in Oklahoma that they were reunited. He invited Autumn out to dinner and drinks making it the first time they saw each other in five years. They instantly clicked and have been together ever since.
Autumn was having a very busy summer and had been traveling a lot. Jerrod knew her first free weekend in a long time was coming up and wanted to make it special. That morning, he surprised Autumn with her favorite coffee and a card with instructions to go to a spa appointment. After that, the couple met up and went to the driving range. Then Jerrod suggested dinner and told Autumn to think of what she wanted even though Jerrod already had the whole evening planned. When Autumn arrived at the house for dinner, she opened the door to a trail of red rose petals that led her to the kitchen. Waiting with a beautiful bouquet of flowers, candles and a card detailing all the reasons he wanted to marry her, Jerrod got down on one knee and proposed.
The couple got married on May 2, 2015 at the First Christian Church in Clinton, Oklahoma. Her bridesmaids wore blush and his groomsmen wore gray. Autumn and Jerrod were surrounded by friends and family, and it was truly a night they’ll never forget.
