Courtney and Matthew began dating during college in Boston after meeting through a mutual love for film and television. After graduation, the couple moved to Los Angeles to pursue careers in the television industry, Courtney as a casting producer for reality television and Matthew as a story producer on MasterChef.

Once seven years had flown by, the couple realized the time had come to take their relationship to the next level. In February 2014, Courtney, Matthew and her family took a vacation to New Orleans for Mardi Gras. Little did Courtney know her family had given their blessing to Matthew for her hand in marriage! After a long day exploring the town, Matthew secretly lit candles and sprinkled rose petals in their hotel room, and surprised Courtney with a proposal and the most gorgeous ring! Courtney’s family swamped the room with cake and champagne to celebrate the couple’s future.

Courtney and Matthew were married on May 23, 2015, at the Gaylord-Pickens Museum. The couple celebrated an art deco theme with colors of blush pink and glittery gold that evoked a feel of soft, timeless romance. Indecisive of cake flavors, the couple indulged in 10 diverse wedding cakes, one was specially flown in from New Orleans called King Cake. After cake, the couple showed off their ballroom lessons to “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love” as their first dance.

The most unique tradition of their wedding involved a ring warming ceremony in which guests passed around the bride and groom’s wedding rings and each individually blessed and prayed for the couple. Courtney and Matthew loved the inclusion of their guests in the ceremony and having them each play a part in their celebration. Now the rings not only symbolize the love Courtney and Matthew share for each other, but also the love and support of their family and friends.

After the joyous festivities, the couple spent two weeks in Belize and Costa Rica, a surprise honeymoon present from Courtney’s parents. Courtney and Matthew currently reside in Los Angeles and could not be more in love!
