Oklahoma Wedding at The Governor’s Mansion Captured by Randy Coleman Photography | Elizabeth + Adam
January 7
Elizabeth + Adam’s incredible Oklahoma wedding at The Governor’s Mansion is simply beautiful. What a stunning couple and a fantastic group of Oklahoma wedding vendors who made their big day so special. Read on for more details:
Elizabeth and Adam first crossed paths when he walked into the store where she worked. Elizabeth asked Adam if he needed help finding anything and, as luck and love would have it, Adam found the love of his life! As their conversation left them both with butterflies and smiles, Adam wrote his phone number on a perfume card for Elizabeth. After texting later that evening, the couple soon had a lunch date planned. In the beginning of their relationship, they spent countless hours into the night on Elizabeth’s porch looking at the stars and talking about life. The star-crossed lovers knew they shared something very special!
As the couple fell more in love, a proposal was inevitable. From the custom-designed ring to the beach destination, Adam worked tirelessly to ensure every detail was perfect. During their vacation to St. Lucia, Adam arranged a private dinner on the beach under the stars. Elizabeth thought they were just going for a walk before dinner, until Adam dropped to one knee and asked her to make him the luckiest man in the world and marry him. Overjoyed, Elizabeth said yes, before she tackled him with a hug and tears! St. Lucia immediately became a special place to the couple as it defined their future together with comfort and happiness.
The Oklahoma Governor’s Mansion was the best location to accommodate all of their wishes of a beautiful garden wedding due to its gorgeous views. Elizabeth walked down the aisle in an Essence of Australia dress with a sweetheart neckline and straps elegantly draped over her shoulders. A belt with diamond detail to accentuate her waist was added to the toile-wrapped trumpet style gown. A simple headband added sparkle to her long hair to complete the look of romance and elegance. Elizabeth hand-made a New England Patriots-themed garter, which is Adam’s favorite football team. Before the wedding, Elizabeth and Adam silently read letters they had written to each other while holding hands on opposite sides of a large door in lieu of a first look.
After the heartfelt ceremony and reception, the newlyweds jetted away to Seaside, Florida to honeymoon. The romantic WaterColor Inn & Resort welcomed Mr. and Mrs. Christensen, and the couple enjoyed many walks along the beach.
