Organic Whimsical Oklahoma Wedding Captured by Ely Fair Photography | Chelsea + Robert
December 1
Chelsea and Robert were friends for a while and eventually decided it was their time for love. On a cold and muddy day in March, the couple arrived to Lake Eufaula for a weekend lake trip with friends. Upon arrival, Robert insisted Chelsea walk toward the water with him. As they were making their way down, Chelsea saw a sign hanging on a tree that said, “Will you marry me?” After Chelsea said yes to his proposal, Robert surprised her again with an engagement celebration with their closest friends and family.
The couple set their date for April 23, 2016, and married at Southwind Hills coordinated by Elaine Tabor. They wanted a natural, simple and whimsical wedding. White was selected as the main color with eucalyptus leaves to add some color. The pair’s most memorable moment from the wedding was their first look; getting to see the pure joy on each other’s faces quickly calmed their nerves. They were then ready to be joined as one. Chelsea wore the Clementine gown by Sarah Seven. The dress was whimsical, lightweight and girly, just what she wanted.
The ceremony was officiated by Robert’s childhood friend Yasha Moridi. The couple exchanged rings and included a Buddhist reading in their ceremony that described the importance of being loving and kind in all facets of life.
The reception was filled with superb food by Southwind Hills, exquisite cakes by Amy Cakes, and amazing music provided by M&M Productions. The bride and groom shared their first dance to “I Will Be There” by Odessa. The couple honeymooned in Grenada and currently resides in Moore.
