Peyton Groce and Will Bond’s Rustic Boho Oklahoma Wedding at Big Creek Events

Peyton and Will first met in sixth grade and remained friends throughout school. They reconnected after high school, but the timing wasn’t right, until about a year and a half ago when the iconic show Seinfeld got brought into conversation. Crazy enough, Will had never seen it, so Peyton invited him over to watch the show and they’ve been together ever since.

Will was ready to propose to Peyton and he had it all planned out. They went to their new home to try out paint samples, Will went into the other room. Peyton spilled some paint on the floor and went to find something to clean it up with, but when she walked into the room, she found Will setting up for the proposal. She happily panicked and quickly shut the door, freaked out in the living room. About two minutes later, Will said come back in, he then asked her to marry him, and she, of course, said yes! The couple had an engagement party with both of their families at Plenty Mercantile, which was catered by Abbey Road Catering with cakes by Amy Cakes.

On August 27, 2016, Peyton Groce married William Bond at the Bond Family Farm. Peyton looked stunning in a mermaid-style gown carrying a beautiful bouquet of sunflowers, lilies, Queen Anne’s lace, celosia, delphinium, succulents, dusty miller, godetia, matricaria, stock, hypericum, craspidia, rose hips and cottage yarrow. The couple wanted a colorful wedding, and used mason jars in varying hues, colored drip candles and hanging wildflowers to make the venue come to life.

Instead of incorporating something blue into her wedding, Peyton bought her mom a blue stone ring she’d been wanting as her mother-of-the-bride gift. The couple had their first dance to “Just the Way You Are” by Billy Joel. Peyton’s most memorable moment from the wedding was having a special moment with her dad before the ceremony.

Peyton and William honeymooned in Bora Bora, and are currently enjoying married life in Norman.
