Brene’ + Taylor’s pretty pink wedding at The Dominion House in Guthrie is oh-so-lovely! Enjoy their beautiful gallery, and check out their romantic story:
Brene’ and Taylor met when Taylor was finishing up his first year at Oklahoma State University and Brene’ was about to graduate high school. He became one of her brother’s “littles” in his fraternity and they started running into each other frequently. The following year, Brene’ started at OSU and became a member of Chi Omega. That year, their houses were paired to do homecoming together. That was when their friendship quickly flourished into a relationship. They became official on December 28, 2010, when Brene’ came home with Taylor to meet his family for the first time. His family took her in and made her feel at home from the first time she met them. That’s when she knew there was something special between them.
Three years later, on October 20, 2013, Taylor knelt down on one knee and asked Brene’ to spend the rest of her life with him. It was the week of her 22nd birthday, and Taylor had made it nothing short of perfect. Their families were both in town for OSU’s Homecoming, and the week was filled with lots of activities. Taylor and Brene’ planned on waiting to celebrate her birthday on the Sunday after homecoming because their schedules had been so crazy. Little did she know what he had in store for that special evening. That night, he proposed and planned a surprise engagement party to follow. They were surrounded by so many friends and family and felt so loved.
Once the engagement season began, so did the wedding planning. They first booked the date at The Dominion House in Guthrie. Brene’ had always loved the venue since she went to a wedding there as a little girl; she knew it would be where she got married someday. They had a busy year ahead of them graduating college, starting full-time jobs and planning a wedding. Those ten months flew by, and eventually everything came together for the big day.
Taylor and Brene’ were married on August 23, 2014, at seven o’clock in the evening. Before the ceremony began, they decided to have a first look. Their photographer, Randy Coleman, and videographer, Jared Keester, were able to capture the intimate moment together – a few minutes together amongst all of the chaos. Brene’ will never forget the moment that they spent in prayer together hand in hand. The ceremony was held outside in the garden and was officiated by the bride’s brother, Bennett Holloway. This was very special to them both because Bennett was there from the very beginning of their relationship and knew them both so well.
During the ceremony, the couple was surrounded by eight wonderful bridesmaids and groomsmen. The ceremony was Christ-centered and intimate, including the exchange of beautiful handwritten vows. After the ceremony took place, the newlyweds held a reception immediately following in the reception hall. A table at the entrance featured wedding pictures from the past generations of both families. The tables were covered in white linens with gold chargers and chairs. Beautiful floral centerpieces were displayed in the middle of the tables created by Trochta’s Flowers and Garden Center. The flowers were white and coral shades with greenery intertwined. The cake table was filled with cupcakes, cookies and a white cake with buttercream icing created by their caterer, Uptown Grocery. The dance floor was filled with friends and family, each of them enjoying the elegant and fun atmosphere. To top off the night that felt like a fairytale, Brene’ and Taylor rode away in a 1961 baby blue Chevy Impala. The next morning the new Mr. and Mrs. flew to exotic Dominican Republic and spent a week in paradise at the Excellence resort in Punta Cana. They currently reside in Oklahoma City and are so excited to spend the rest of their lives together.
