Brittney was bustling around her new downtown shop, Plenty Mercantile, one November when in walked Marshall. They became each other’s confidants over the next two years and soon after, the two completely fell for one another. Knowing in his heart that Brittney was the girl for him only a few months later, Marshall popped the question and the date was set for a November 15 wedding.
The ceremony and reception were held in a private space connected to The Rooftop at Plenty Mercantile to accommodate their 350 guests. The ring bearer wore a red cape and the flower girl carried a metal flower as a wand. Brittney’s dream dress was actually a bridesmaid’s dress made floor-length in a white-grey. Marshall wore a blue suit with gold cufflinks that his bride had imprinted with thumbprints of his mother and father. His ring was created by combining several family heirlooms. Brittney was escorted down the aisle by her father and her stepfather at her sides. One of Marshall’s groomsmen officiated the nuptials, which opened with the groom’s mother reciting a prayer. Brittney’s mother led the couple into their written vows with a few words on behalf of their families.
Guests enjoyed his and her cocktails at Plenty Mercantile after the ceremony and were invited back to the main space for the reception that featured a French fry bar, mac and cheese bar and meatball bar. The couple danced to “Someone Like You” by Boyce Avenue after entering the reception. Brittney split the father-daughter dance with each of her dads, and then her mother and stepmother. Guests made photo strips for the guestbook and at the end of the night, flew well wishes folded into paper airplanes around the couple in an Aston Martin DB5 as the newlyweds departed in style.
