From the bride: “I learned that wedding planners are a MUST! I never really considered using a wedding planner until Julie with Penelope & Lu reached out to me. After getting into the nitty-gritty of planning, I guarantee the wedding would have been cancelled (not the marriage, just the event itself) or it would have been a disaster without them. My husband and I both have busy jobs that involve travel. There is literally no way we could have done this without Penelope & Lu and we will be forever grateful to them.
To be honest, the wedding day was a blur. My bridesmaids and I got to hang out and just have a girls’ day at the venue. It was honestly very relaxing throughout the day getting ready. My dad and I did a first look which made me want to cry, but I was determined not to mess up my makeup before seeing Jacob. It was such a special moment between us though. I’m the only girl and walking me down the aisle is something my dad has pictured doing since I was born. Jacob and I did our first look after that and exchanged gifts. I gave him an heirloom knife I had made out of three tools that belonged to his dad, uncle and grandfather, all of whom have passed away. Jacob gave me hand written notes to open upon certain milestones we come across as a couple: buying a new house, birth of our first child, going on an adventure, etc. I can’t wait to open them all. I was truly overwhelmed and felt so humbled by the idea that so many people came to help us celebrate our wedding day.”
