After an incredible engagement on the 50-yard line of AT&T Stadium, home of the Dallas Cowboys, it was only natural that a spectacular wedding would follow. Press, a coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, took Brooklyn by surprise by asking her to be his wife midfield following a victory over the Cowboys on Thanksgiving. She happily accepted the romantic proposal!
With Brooklyn’s parents being the pastors of Guts Church for over 23 years, choosing the wedding venue was easy. The rest of the wedding plans fell into place with a unique football theme, a sport close to Brooklyn and Press’ hearts. Save the dates resembled National Football League game tickets; Brooklyn even drafted her bridesmaids with Eagles hats and the ladies prepped in Eagles jerseys on the wedding day.
Every detail of the stunning wedding was meaningful. The bride wore a custom-made dress by Nardos Imam and walked down the aisle to a live bagpipe escort representing her grandfather’s Scottish heritage. Brooklyn’s father and brother performed the ceremony, which added a special touch. Brooklyn’s mother’s Southern roots showed in countless details that included an arch made of real cotton, “cotton girls” instead of flower girls, and chicken and waffles for dinner.
There were several surprises for the 800 guests all evening long. Flower petals exploded from cannons during the first kiss, and waiters danced to the band as they passed out cotton candy, glow sticks, foam fingers and rally towels as party favors. Swoop, the Eagles mascot, sprinted into the high-energy reception to dance the night away. Burritos came at the perfect time for a late-night snack, and the incredible night ended with hundreds of friends on the dance floor watching the bride and groom in a dance-off with the band.
