Surprise Wedding…for the Bride! | Samantha + Joe

Sami and Joe’s romance began in an outdoorsman store of all places. It’s no surprise that this loving couple’s relationship was destined to be full of sweet surprises and adventures. Their journey to becoming husband and wife began on Sami’s grandparent’s land where Joe surprised her by the edge of a river and asked Sami to spend the rest of her life with him. The surprise proposal was only the warm-up for a greater surprise soon to come.

With help from miracle workers at Gibson Events, Joe and Sami’s mother were able to plan a surprise wedding… for the bride! Sami was ready to be married, but dreaded the planning not knowing when she could gather all of her family together for the big day. Little did she know that her family and fiancé had taken care of all the details. On the day of the wedding, Sami had no idea she was about to become Mrs. Joe Ready. Even while the PenWeddings camera crew filmed Sami getting her hair done, she was told they were there filming a promotional video for Midtown that allowed them to capture this sweet moment and others without Sami suspecting a thing. The camera crew followed Sami to the Ambassador Hotel where the big surprise was finally unveiled. The bride was overjoyed to see her closest friends and family all in one place to share such an incredible moment with her and Joe.

Sami and Joe were married January 3, 2015, at the Ambassador Hotel in Midtown. The bride wore a chic knee-length dress and waltzed down the aisle carrying a charming bouquet from Poppy Lane Design. For her ‘something borrowed,’ she wore her grandmother’s fur coat, and for her ‘something blue,’ she wore her mother’s sapphire necklace. The evening was truly a magical and unforgettable evening for the newlyweds.
