Tram Nguyen and Jimmy Wheeler’s Romantic Fall Wedding at Dresser Mansion
Jimmy was Tram’s brother’s chemistry lab partner at the University of Oklahoma in 2005. The pair first met when he came over to study one day, but they were both dating other people at the time. Seven years later, they reconnected on Facebook during Tram’s last year in pharmacy school. After chatting for a while, Jimmy asked Tram out to an Oklahoma City Thunder game. They have been together ever since!
Tram and Jimmy went for a vintage, romantic style for their fall wedding. They loved the antique and imperfect look, and Tram loved using lace to complement the theme! The bride wanted to go outside of the traditional fall color scheme by opting for a palette of dusty blues, muted golds, ivory and cranberry red.
The bride walked down the aisle in a fit and flare, tulle and lace Maggie Sottero gown. The gown consisted of an illusion neckline, dramatic sheer back and pearl buttons. She finished her look with a Ben-Amun pearl bracelet, Belle Badgley Mischka pearl earrings, and of course, her Tacori engagement ring.
Both the bride and groom’s cakes were from Ludger’s Bavarian Cakery. The bride’s cake was a four-tier, alternating ruffle design. It was vanilla Bavarian cheesecake with cream cheese filling and iced with a fresh whipped topping. The groom’s cake was a Star Wars cake made of chocolate Bavarian cheesecake.
To add personal flare to their wedding, the couple added touches of Star Wars decorations to their decor. The fun designs can be seen in their bean bags, cake topper, groom’s cake, and their photo booth where they used light sabers as props. Tram and Jimmy’s favorite moment of their wedding was their private first look together. They loved being able to share that special moment alone with their photographer. It helped them to calm their nerves and prepare for the day before them! The bride and groom danced their first dance as a married couple to, “Come and Get Your Love” by Redbone.
The happy couple spent a magical honeymoon at Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida. They currently reside in Edmond where Tram works as a pharmacist and Jimmy is a clinical dietitian.
